Re: Moog One 8 Voice Owners here?

I went 8 voice deliberately because I knew I’d not be doing lots of layering of the three synth layers. I often use one layer for lead and one for chords and never ran out of notes yet. I’ve always managed easily with 8 note polyphony, having had a Jupiter 6 for years and more recently a P6, the One...

Re: midi notes sticking

what would be great is some kind of MIDI panic button/switch.
Press and hold both OCTAVE buttons to send a MIDI Panic (All Notes and Controllers Off) message.

Re: Arp behavior

Do you trigger the note on the Moog keys or is the note triggered by a DAW (Midi)?
And what sync settings are you using?

Re: Considering getting One

I’ve had the 8 voice (reasoning that I was after modular type of analog complexity) and don’t wish I’d gone for the 16 voice. I don’t do multiple layers so don’t miss those other 8 voices. The thing I really dig about the One is it’s huge potential wrapped in probably the best UI on a poly synth. I ...

Re: Next 1.5 update, when ?

I’m aware (through contacts) they’re currently working on multiple releases for this year , no dates though. They are aware of the delay and working hard to resolve. I understand that full CV I/O is part of one of the releases. I’m cutting them some slack, even though I’m itching for the next releas...

Re: Are You Happy with Your Moog One? (Considering buying)

Given all we now know about the lacklustre (generally) sound for an expensive analog synth what? I have a prophet, a mini and used or owned a pile of analog and I don’t get your post. I can only assume you’ve never spent time with one. I can’t fault the “sound”. I can be critical of the FX but the ...

You need to speak with your supplier or Moog directly. That sounds very wrong and I’m sure they would agree.

No Problems here. I am using the Moog USB drive included with the Moog One and some no-name drive.

Re: Moog One crash / hang

Thanks for the reply. I have USB connected to it from my Mac (for Logic). No midi.
That will be the issue. Although not sure why you say no midi?

Re: Are You Happy with Your Moog One? (Considering buying)

My 8 voice is my main “modular synth”. I have a P6 too. My view is that the P6 is a lovely sounding synth and very simple to program, its limited in terms of modulation, but it does what it can very quickly. I often mock up sounds on it which I later do on the One. The One was my substitute for goin...

Re: Albums or songs that feature the Moog One

The sound is so wide, and sonically it takes up a lot of space (as it should!), so I am curious how vocals and other instruments find room in the mix.
Well in fairness that’s true for many polysynths, :D it’s then about mixing!

Re: Patch change noises

Effects artifacts
I suspect this is it - try defeating the FX on a couple of patches - re save without and try that -
