hey guys, thanks for the responses here, the psu that i plugged it in with originally was the moog power supply it shipped with (the united states one 110v instead of the australian 240v) with a standard travel adapter. obviously my fault, but a little warning from the seller sure would of been nice...

hi, so i ended up buying a correct (what i believe) psu from my local electronics store, 500ma 9v centre tip positive, however the unit lights up looking as if it is functioning but only a low hum noise emits from the unit, with a slight hint of source noise making it through, i emailed my local rep...
