Re: Model D or MFB Dominion 1?

If you like the Moog sound, only a Moog will do it. But if you're into sound design, I would suggest the Voyager...best the XL. IMO the Model D is something for classic keyboard players and collectors. Its a very limited synth compared to the Voyager XL or the Sub 37 which I both own. Sub 37 is ver...

Model D or MFB Dominion 1?

Hey people!, Maybe you can help me with a decision... I'm going to choose wether I buy a MFB Domion of the Moog Model D... Right now I'm more into the Model D, the only thing that holds me back is that I fear that I'll run out of sounds too quick... I'm an experimental musician, it's all about disco...

New Semi-Modulars?

Hello everybody, I'm new to this topic and I have a question about the Semi-Modular line of Moog. Has anybody heard about any new Semi-Modulars adding to the Mother 32x? Bigger modules or different ones? Are there any leaked news? Another question: What has a bigger spectrum of sound? Three Mother 3...

Re: Where to start?

If you are really hungry for modular and moog, the most inexpensive alternative is a moog clone modular. The moslab system 15 is 3800€. You don't have to buy that all at the same time. I see mos-lab just discontinued their 1700€ "system 8." But look at the module selection, buy what you c...

Re: Where to start?

But a Moog is just a dream and the Mother 32 seems to be the best start I can think of. So, what do you say? Hi Geddhinadi, I'd say trust your instincts. Your most telling statement was about not liking a display screen. The Mother-32 is a beautiful fit as it's reasonably priced, yet packs many of ...

Re: Where to start?

About the price: Where I live I'm allowed to work wherever I want if I have the qualification, and working in a factory for a month would make a loan of about 1000-1200€ (taxes free!). Also I have a little bit of money (around 400 bucks), besides the money I will spend on a car, so (and here I can m...

Where to start?

Hello everyone! As the title says, I'm new to the topic of synthesizers, at least mostly. I know basic stuff, but I can't get into too much detail. Anyway, know-how is something that's free for everyone, so I can work on that. If you are reading half through this and you think: "God, this guy t...
