Re: New Moog Voyager XL

Unicorns do exist! Mine just arrived at Sweetwater. I ordered it at the end of November, and the waiting was just taking its toll on me. My left brain was telling me "be patient, it'll come" and my right brain was telling me "it may have been discontinued, what are you going to do if ...

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

The more I think about the VXL versus my Sub 37, it seems in some ways they are way more equivalent in terms of features than maybe I originally thought of. I mean there are some significant differences like the dual filter and stuff, but as far as LFOs and modulation goes, it seems very close. I'm ...

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

So the SE-02 came in today and I love it. The filter sounds very different than my Sub 37 and it can definitely produce some bass. I mean, there’s some similarities in sound, but it’s totally different. I really enjoy the oscillators—they have lots of character. With the cross mod and fm options, I ...

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

Aw, yes. This was a tough choice. The quest essentially is to find something $500 or less that offers something new. The SE-02 does appear to be very "Moogish," but at the same time has some nifty features that I don't have. So, my musical aspirations are game soundtrack and effects orient...

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

So while I'm waiting, I asked my wife for an "appetizer" and ordered a Roland SE-02 to tide me over for a bit, can't wait to see what it's like. I'm really looking forward to the square wave oscillators. That's one thing that I wish the variable wave on my sub 37 would do is maintain a cla...

Re: Winters come for House Moog

This sounds interesting. Is this, or should this, impact the pending Voyager XL order I have with sweetwater?

Re: Calibration isn't working

So I'm new to this, but apparently theremins have a zero spot. So as you go from close to the antenna to the zero spot, the pitch goes from high to low. And if you keep going farther away from the antenna, it can start the sound again. For this reason, lots of people put their connection cable over ...

Theremini's in stock soon?

I've seen a lot of these out of stock. Is there any time frame on a new batch? :)

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

I took a look at the KnobTweak site and cool. It looks mainly like a repository of files for a whole host of Moog stuff like presets, os updates and stuff. That looks like a great place to contribute. Thanks for the invite.

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

That sounds good. I'll check it out. In the mean time, it looks like my order is still good to go. It's exciting that I'll get one of the last ones ever made. I can't think of another synthesizer that provides the same kind of experience in one box.

Re: New Moog Voyager XL

So, i'm not going to worry about it. I've waited years to get one, and we'll see how it turns out. it's kinda funny how you're working hard and waiting to get something for years, and then the production stops. So, I'm curious from the rest of the members here, any insights of how voyagers are being...

Also patch cables and an expression pedal (or 2).
I ordered 8 extra TRS patch cables, but I hear the XL comes with some...any idea how many?

And so totally looking forward to the stereo filters...
