Re: Minitaur editor problems again!

I think I mentioned this before, but it can't hurt to repeat it. I downloaded the new OS/editor yesterday. Windows 10 pc - when I hooked up the Minitaur, Win 10 said it was installing a driver for it. Before loading the editor, I also installed the driver from Moog. I got the disconnected message. I...

RESOLVED

:D Well, pretty much anyways. I decided to try loading the 2.1.20 into the Minitaur from my desktop instead of the laptop. Everything went smoothly, and everything works as it should. Osc. sync was the main thing I was wanting and YAY! - it works as it should and sounds great. All the lfo types work...

Re: The new driver/firmware

Very sorry for clogging up the forum. I can't be part of the beta program, because I can't get midi-ox or c6 to recognize the ports on the Minitaur. I searched the computer and deleted most all Moog files/folders, then plugged it in. I looked like it was installing, but I got the same notices as abo...

Re: The new driver/firmware

Did you read the post from Amos? He says - "... Only install the driver if you've already updated to the new firmware...".

My current problem is that I can no longer update the firmware - midi-ox and C6 don't recognize any inputs/outputs.

Re: The new driver/firmware

One more - won't fit in the last post.
The editor works fine standalone and in Cubase on win10.
I just can't get to the ports to change the firmware.

Re: The new driver/firmware

OK - thanks. I guess I was given the wrong directions: I tried what you said. In case anyone's interested I'm including some screen shots of what I get with Win10 when I let it automatically install the device. This is under the 'view devices and printers' area. The device shows as installed, but I ...

Re: The new driver/firmware

Mine works OK with the older firmware version on the site. There are some new features in the new firmware/editor that I've been looking forward to being able to use since I bought the Minitaur last year. Seems like it's been a long time coming though. Good thing this little unit sounds so good, or ...

The new driver/firmware

Got hold of it at Gearslutz - driver - v3.30.0, firmware beta - v2.1.20. I think I've got a problem with the driver. Win10 - Minitaur shows as installed, but I get a 'usb device not recognized' message, and a note to unplug and replug, which produces no results. When opening up the sys-ex program, I...

Re: Minitaur Editor - Hardware Disconnected

.... I'm now on firmware 2.1.7 but like I said, I try many version include the official firmware 2.1.1 and I still have the disconnected hardware in VST mode.... Where are you finding the different versions? My Minitaur came with a newer version, but I messed it up and had to go back to the one on ...

Re: Selecting presets

I found the presets on my computer, but I'm not real sure how to get them into the Minitaur. On my computer, they're listed as .syx files in Midi-Ox format. I could dump them from Midi-Ox, but the Minitaur has to be prepared to accept them. If I figure it out, I'll post back (unless someone from Moo...

Re: Eurorack kit?

I don't have any Euro stuff, and I like the Minitaur just like it is.

But there's a lot of people into that stuff, and I bet it would sell well.

Let's not get the good people at Moog more distracted than they already are though.

Re: Selecting presets

Mine has that too, but only after it suffered a hard crash.

If you hook it up with the editor, every other patch shows as 'init'.

Before that, it had all the stock patches, but they won't re-load.

Re: After Midi Learn only one similar output signal

I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with the calibration routine thing, but I used it recently. I just let it go for a long time and then turned every knob. It seemed to be doing a lot of sweeps - filter and oscillator and whatnot. No real directions I could find for it pertaining to how long it...
