Re: What amplifiers do you use for your Sub37?
Hi mattymel, Regarding taking your Sub 37 on the road... Over time, the Power, audio and particularly USB sockets will loosen up and stop if you're plugging/unplugging every night. Expen$ive. Short extender cables permanently connected can prevent this - see pic. Thusly, you wear out the extenders ...

Re: Inconsistent USB Connection
Hi Juan, Don't have this problem myself either. Some basic troubleshooting should locate where your problem is. Firstly - Windows Device Manager has to "see" the Sub37 first, before the Editor or Cubase will detect it. Device Manager > View > Devices by connection... Device Manager sees S...

Inverted KB Pitch on Sub37
Saw the earlier post on Reversing KB Track.
Is there a way to have the osc pitch get lower as the keyboard is played higher?
(Joe Zawinul used an inverted keyboard on a ARP2600 synth - the voltage was reversed.)
So
play C hear C
play D hear B flat
play E hear A flat etc
Thanks

Re: Sub 37 cut off pot issue
Hello ocelot, Quickest/best option is to simply replace the filter knob. It looks straight-forward imnsho. Any careful electronic hobbyist who has a small soldering iron could replace it in an afternoon. Music shops may know someone. In the UK, Farnell sell the Vishnay 248 conductive-plastic, linea...

Re: SUB37 sequencer errors or not?
Hi anghel, * try this option in GLOBAL MENU 2.2 (Page 47 of the Manual)... ++++++++++++++++++++++++ DLAY PGM CHG If Delay Program Change is ON, then a preset change made while a sequence is playing will be delayed until the end of the sequence. At the downbeat of the first step, it will switch to t...

Analog vs Digital
Just an observation. If you want to fatten up your recorded Sub-37 mono audio tracks, just re-record the audio from the original MIDI tracks. The beautiful thing with analog is it's slightly imprecise and random nature of pitch and timing makes no 2 audio tracks exactly the same. If digital is doub...

Re: keyboard velocity direct to filter cutoff
When the KNOB SHIFT button is blinking you can use the FILTER SUSTAIN knob (now FILTER
VELOCITY AMOUNT) to make your sounds get darker as you press the keys slower on the keyboard,
Page 32 of the Manual says DECAY but it really is SUSTAIN.

Re: *Help* Sub 37 sequencer issues
mucktone, It could be MIDI congestion. Try paring back the MIDI data to the bare minimum to see if it gets better. Try using the 5 pin MIDI port if possible. Use only 1 MIDI track, no cascaded MIDI thru etc Typically my song notes begin at Bar 2. Bar 1 is where the initial MIDI stuff is sent to the...

Re: Moog altering preset when saved.
rumblenaut, know what you mean although it could be your step 2) where things go awry btw use the Sub 37 Librarian - it is better at organising and renaming presets etc This goes on a bit... but I have found that the best approach is 1) use temporary scratch pad slots for experiments - I use lucky ...
