The XL control panels are not backlit. Just the LCD display. I’ve always had lights on it, but when I turned them off I realized the stock backlighting was borderline unusable in some lightning situations.
There is no knob for the light that I’m aware of.

TOLEX XL Dim Backlight
Is there any way to brighten that backlight? I bought mine new and I've always had to have an external light on it to see it better.
Thanks,
Rob

Re: RIP Moogerfooger
I just bought the last MF-101 Filter and MF-103 Phaser that Sweetwater had allocated. Evidently our pals at Moog are building out the last allocations. I did the same last year when the released the last of the MF-104Ms. They're just so big and wonderful! Thanks Moog! and I would not be upset if you...

This ended up being one of the units with the "Wrong Chip". It eventually led the the synth just dying. Sent it back to Guitarget.

Re: Logic making Model D get stuck on a note
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to the forum. It was the headphone amp problem, but with the twist that the instrument would throw out a rather pronounced whine that would change based on the resonance knob even while no sound was playing. It rendered the instrument practically unusable. Mo...

Re: Logic making Model D get stuck on a note
I thought I would throw in my $0.02... Check Logic's control surface configuration. Every time I enable something that supports Mackie/HUI I end up fighting with stuck notes all over the place. I had my Beatstep Pro dialed in as a control surface and it worked exactly once and then left me with stu...

Electric Blue + CV Expander Kills LFO?
So, I was about 10 minutes from pulling the trigger on a used Voyager Electric Blue with a VX 351 included at Guitarget (Guitar Center). Everything felt and sounded pretty good, BUT, as long as the DB25 -> VX 351 were hooked up, the LFO would start to misbehave. Without the VX 351, LFO light would p...

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output
Headphone Jack Problem: Captured! When it happened, I hooked a Tascam DR-2WL portable recorder up the Sub37 headphone jack with a brand-new fresh out of the box cable and made a recording. (attached - WAV file converted to MP3 to reduce size using Logic bounce). I start off by raising and lowering t...

Re: Sub37 arpeggiator dropping out
So, I got to thinking that this could be a sequencer output problem. I had never had any problem with the sequencer dropping out until I did a "Restore Default Global Settings". After that, my sequencer/arpeggiator acted surprisingly wacky. I did a quick test of unplugging USB and trying e...
