Oh my, Lightner down! Not good. This thread is old, so how are you doing now? Kevin, you don't know me but I have seen your work and know your rep. Kinda walked in the same shoes, but not publicly. I only do/did work for myself and very close friends here in New York over the years. My main gig is L...

I hope you didn't buy a Mackie yet!!!

Hi, I realize you asked about "PA" speakers specifically but consider this ... Quite frankly, both as a keyboard player using many Moogs (Modulars and Mini/Voyagers), and as a pro live sound engineer, the Mackies are all dogs IMO. More cons than pros. To some they "sound great" b...

Hi Erik, I think you might need to brush-up on the details of these modules. Are you aware there are "edge connectors" on the rear of these modules that slid into place in the Moog modular cabinets, like what Kevin alluded to about the 921a & 921b Frequency Control and Rect Wid...

Being an owner of a very expanded IIIc for some twenty years I would love to see a new modular line, but I also know this would be soooo problematic for Moog Music. First, the market is very limited. Also they would need to consider backward compatibility with the older 900 series to maximize that a...

Monophonic synths can be multitimbral and polyphonic.....

Huh?

Do you mean VCF with resonance cranked ...? A VCO already oscillates on its own. It's an oscillator. A Bode is none of the things you surmise from samples. I would manipulate and listen to one in the flesh, because samples only sound as good as the sampler's skill with sampling and his skill with wh...

Moog 55 For $3000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you kidding me? You only paid 3k for a 55? I've paid that much for a single module? Whoever sold that to you should be slapped up the side of their head for giving away about $15,000 or more! I know of two model 12's for sale (not auction) right now going for twice that price and more. Geez ... ...

Hmm......

They're worth whatever people will pay for them. That can be many hundreds to several thousands of dollars. I have seen the Bode sell for as much as $6000, but understand I beleive only a couple dozen where ever produced. (I have three thank you very much). What kind of price is being suggested? John
