Anybody else run a moog through envelope follower pedals?

I'm trying to get that super wet quacky funk bass. Kinda the lovetone meatball/mutron quack. I can't get really achieve that to my liking with just the little phatty. This could be my skills. I was looking at the mf-101. Is this redundant or is the envelope follower worth it? Any tips or pedal ...
