Also, there's some kind of firmware update on the moog downloads page. anyone know what it does, and how i can tell if it isn't allready done on my pedal?

MF 108 output configuration
The MF108 has internal dipswitches allowing to change output configuration. Thing is, i want a setup that is not directly explained in the manual: i would like all settings to be the same as default, but no dry signal, since i'm using a send-return setup. So, right channel inverted phase wet, left w...

Re: Sub 37 upgrade legit or troll?
I will definitely get the keybed upgrade. Also wondering about the full package. My only worry is that i won't be able to get the same overdriven fuzzy & gnarly sounds the sub37 has. Can one recreate the same sound on the Subsequent? The clean sounds seemed a bit cold in demo's, but on the sub37...

Re: Opening Ableton -program change
Bump... anyone know a solution for this? it's really annoying, i'd like a project to either open with the preset for the track, or at least not changing the preset that the sub37 was on.

Sub37 'Variance' parameter
I was just reading some stuff which reminded me of the existence of this setting. Haven't really experimented much with it, i think i dialed in a small amount once and forgot about it since. Just checked, and it's set to 9.6c now. So, what amount have you guys dialed in? Are there specific sounds yo...

Opening Ableton -program change
Every time i open Abltn Live, or load a new project my Sub37 jumps to a specific patch. It also resets one of my drummachines, so i guess it's an ableton thingy. Any ideas on how and if i can change/use this?

Re: New Firmware - new features
Thanks for shedding some light on the differences between soft and hard sync, Matthias :) If I get it right, soft sync is useful only when oscillators are perfectly matched in pitch, right? Maybe, but one thing I have found is that it sounds better turned off to my ears when the oscillators have di...

Re: New Firmware - new features
The key sync and hard sync have their names only in common ;) Key sync is useful for bass to have more "oomph" when a note is triggered. It allows the wave form of both oscillators to syncronize on the max amplitude position of the cycle when a key is depressed. In other words, it ensures...

Re: Straight Up Newb Question About Minitaur & a Moogerfooge
Of course. The MF lowpass can switch from 2 to 4 pole, changing the slope and resonance character, and the signal can be overdriven (you can route the headphone out to the ext in on the Mtr, but the overdriven filters will probably still sound a bit different), or use the extra envelope follower out...

Re: SUB37 Taurus!
I have no experience with the taurus synth, but if you haven't tried it already, try setting osc volume to 2 (8_9 o clock) multidrive very high (3 till 6 o'clock) and dial in quite a lot of feedback, maybe even just under the selfoscillation-squealing point. you can get some really nice sounds this ...

Re: The new driver/firmware
are you sure you're using the correct installation procedure for the driver? uninstall all mtr drivers, then restart to update the registry. next do not connect the mtr, but run the driver install exe, preferably in compatibilty mode and the 'run as admin' option. then restart again and connect the ...

Re: sub37 editor vst not connecting
The problem is that only one program can connect to the Sub at any given time via one link. If for example the standalone version is running and connected via midi in/out to the sub, the vst version will not be able to make a connection through that same midi connection. Nor will your DAW (here it's...

Re: Ableton + Sub 37 (Ableton MIDI Clock -> Sub 37 Seq/Arp S
This is exactly how it behaves here too, it's erm...normal? it's to do with the latency compensation in ableton live: this makes estimates of how processing affects delay and adjusts accordingly, sometimes being very wrong. There are unfortunately no separate adjustments per external instrument (whi...
