Which Moogerfoogers to keep or sell?

Hello Friends.....I am an old dude turning 60 this year and decided to get back into recording and gigging after taking 6 years off due to a bad accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury and really need to relearn everything. I was going to sell all my gear but decided to give music one la...

Sweetwater Sales Engineer Recommendation

Hello....I am an old dude (turning 60 soon) getting back into music after a long hiatus and am putting together my 3rd and last home studio. I will be buying my gear from Sweetwater and was looking for a recommendation for a sales rep who is very knowledgeable with moog gear, MIDI, Ableton as a DAW ...

Re: Major problem USB MIDI from DAW with Sub37 hangs/disconn

Never an issue but I use Ableton with a Mac. That's not meant to be a knock on Cubase/Windows. c

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

[quote="stiiiiiiive"]Welcome to the forum, glad to see you're so much in your passion :) I am myself a old Elektron user as I've played a MachineDrum UW for 8-9 years now. I've read once ot twice somebody not clicking with an Elektron instrument, but generally speaking, I've met users in l...

Re: Need To complete Analog setup

The ring modulator never ceases to amaze me. I think I will never exhaust the possibilities of sonic craziness and sanity this unit offers. It would be my first choice. The MF-108 is wonderful as well, but one could argue that you have some of its features in the delay. But again, it gives flange s...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

I must admit I just saw the new Pioneer/Dave Smith sampler called Toraiz SP-16 , http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ToraizSP16?utm_source=gearnet&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=gn20161110 drum machine with Dave Smith Analog filters and that looks likes an amazing new type of drum machine ...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

Hi: I use a Dave Smith Tetr4 as my polyphonic synthesizer - it comes very close to the Prophets. I run it with a Minitaur doing the bass stuff, and I think they sound terrific together (some of the presets in stereo on the DST are quite beautiful). Of course, the Tetr4 lacks cv manipulation, but wi...

Need To complete Analog setup

Hello friends, I have a studio running Ableton with about 6 different controllers. Learning MIDI was not easy as I am a guitarist of 40 years (54 years old) . Earlier this year, the urge to learn keys hit me and I splurged for a Sub 37. That was all it took. I addition to the Sub 37, I have two Moog...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

I watched a few videos after I posted on a new analog drum machine from Arturia called Max Brute with street price $499. . That is the only analog machine I am aware of in price range and definitely a simple learning curve. That videos on YouTube sounded good. It should be available at all distribut...

I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

Dear tone gurus....first off I want to cry because I spent 1 hour trying to write an intelligent post and somehow deleted it about a minute before I went to post it. You are going to get the short version which is better because more people will read it. Plus there is no way I could focus for anothe...

Please Help me decide!!!

Hello tone gurus. I produce music using Ableton and also playing guitar for 40 years. I recently purchased my first piece of outboard analog gear which was the Moog sub 37 and I couldn't have been happier. It feels like it almost has a soul to it. I want to add a polyphonic synth to complete my outb...

Re: I may have screwed up....bought Moog 104z

I do not think I would need to modulate the delay time so that's not a biggie and the tap tempo is no biggie either because this is being used with Moog sub 37 not on pedalboard. I wanted to add a few more MoogerFoogers along the journey and thought being able to synch all the pedals together was th...

I may have screwed up....bought Moog 104z

I am a guitarist of 39 years and recently had the good fortune to pick up my first piece of analog gear for my home studio which is all digital using Ableton as my DAW. The gear I purchased was the Moog Sub 37 which I am love with. I wanted an analog delay to go along with sub 37 and bought a MINT c...
