Re: Mg-1 Replacement Parts?

I ordered a kit of sliders and knobs from a place called "Technology Transplant" (Hong Kong?) a couple of years back. They then told me they couldn't fulfill the order and refunded my money, after I found my emails to them chasing up the order kept bouncing back. After doing some googling ...

.. because the rest of my life is spent staring at screens (smartphone, my as a programmer, editing songs on my DAW, etc) that I like play my instrument because there are no screens around. Exactly the same - 12 hours a day at a computer doing graphics, programming and admin so I don't want to see ...

Re: WNAMM2016: Korg Minilogue

By "slim keys" do they mean "mini-keyboard"? What is up with all these companies (Yamaha I'm looking at you) releasing keyboards with keys that only children and slim women (or guys) can play?: I've got pretty damn fat fingers too but I don't understand the anti-mini-key thing. ...

The joy of printed manuals and Moog Graphic design

Is this a topic? Dunno. But after fluffing around with other gear I've purchased lately I have to give some kudos for Moog, who included a very nice PRINTED MANUAL with my Sub 37. I know I can download PDF's or search for shizz online but when you're buying hardware gear I think it can be presumed t...

That looks like it'll do the trick - damn fine suggestion, thanks.

Re: New member with new Sub 37...problems :(

I really do appreciate your input. I considered a Sub Phatty as this seems to be prone to fewer problems than the 37. This is purely based on what I have seen on this forum. I can get a Phatty for about 40% less than the 37. It has been my 'dream' to own a Moog for many years, but I'd rather have a...

Re: External Audio trigger envelopes

you could try bunging some audio into the gate input. The external audio input isn't digitally scanned so it can't trigger anything. Nice lateral thinking but I did a quick test with the output of a Korg Volca Beats and got no joy regardless of output volume. If I get a chance I'll measure the outp...

Re: New member with new Sub 37...problems :(

Right now I am seriously considering getting something like a re-issue MS-20 or Odyssey, maybe even a Bass Station 2. I know that these are 'inferior' synths, but if I'm not going to get the longevity at least I won't be spending a fortune. I don't earn a lot, so this is a major purchase for me and...

External Audio trigger envelopes

Probably a dumb question, but I've not found any way to trigger the envelopes from the level of the audio input on the Sub 37. Is there any magic incantation for such a function or is it simply not available? I certainly can find no mention of it. My old Yamaha CS30 is dead and I used to get some gr...

Re: New member with new Sub 37...problems :(

Well, the new 37 has arrived. None of the issues I had with the first one, but..... one of the preset buttons was hanging out, after pushing it back in and giving it a wiggle it seems to be ok, also another one of the preset buttons needs to be pressed MUCH harder than the others to make it work. I...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability

....The keyboard action is too stiff, and triggers too deep.. I'm no great player but I have to agree -it's the only thing that's disappointed me thus far (apart from the fact that the first unit I received had a couple of stuck patch buttons and had to be replaced). I love the synth but the keyboa...
