Re: Matriarch LIN FM IN
You could try using an LFO that goes into audio rates, or you can patch a dummy cable in the Osc 2 in, then it will not be affected by the keyboard.

You will also want to make sure you are sending and receiving MIDI on the correct channel. The midi light will flash even if it is receiving on a different channel, but of course will only play notes when the channels match.

Re: Sub 25 duophony on external midi controller
The Duo mode will only work when 2 notes are played at the same time. I am not sure how the SPD works, but if it just sends a note on and off right away when triggered, then you will not be able to do the duo mode with the pads. However, I believe you can configure the pads to start on a hit and con...

Sure, just search for it on the app store and download it there. It is free for the time being for everyone.

Re: Syncing Mother-32 sequencer with Sub 37 sequencer
Yes, that should be no problem at all. You will need to make sure you look at the midi send options on the Sub-37, and have it send usb out on the midi din cable, but it is pretty simple with a quick glance at the manual for the proper settings.

Re: Matriarch Arp/Seq Knob Calibration
I had the exact same issue. I was going to contact support, but before I did, I restarted the Matriarch, and the knob was back to full range. I think maybe I had a MIDI clock signal going that changed the behavior on the rate, as in the after the clock was no longer going to the Matriarch, the synth...

Re: performing DFAM like a synth
I think you would want to send the gate out from M32 to the trigger in on DFAM, instead of the advance/run, otherwise the pitch and velocity amounts will change with each step, unless you have them all set the same. That wouldn't necessarily explain why the envelope doesn't remain open, but it would...

Re: Vertical and shallow rack
I would think that would work. You just need to make sure the weight balances and wouldn't tip these over. The MF's kind of have all of the weight in the front when in the racks. I built something similar for my MF Racks. I just bought rack rails and made a shallow wood case to mount them. Not sure ...

Re: Grandmother: How to sync modulation rate?
I think this might achieve what you are trying to do, but haven't tested. -Set the rate of the S/H slower than the ARP rate -Patch KB Gate out to LFO Sync in When the gate retriggers the LFO, it should grab a new sample and hold value, but that is where I am not entirely sure. If it does, it will ch...

Re: Mother 32 Patterns keep disappearing
There are several steps to saving the pattern, other than just hitting those buttons. Those select the step enter mode. You need to hold the button until the LED starts blinking. I would suggest following the steps laid out in the manual to save to a location. If it still doesn't work, you should co...

Re: Mother 32 Patterns keep disappearing
You need to save the patterns. The instructions are on page 32 of the manual. SAVING A PATTERN Hold (SHIFT)+RUN/STOP for 1 second. When the green OCTAVE /LOCATION LED blinks, select a bank by pressing (BANK)+Step button 1-8 or (BANK)+LEFT/RIGHT arrows. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to select pattern loc...

Re: MP-201 MIDI to CV with DFAM
So, it will only send CV out from the MIDI pitch, or a gate CV when a MIDI note is triggered. You can use MIDI CC's to trigger the gate, but it does not convert a MIDI CC to a control voltage, unfortunately.

Re: MP-201 MIDI to CV with DFAM
Thanks, Stiiiiiiive. I will give this a try this weekend. The Velocity is just an attribute of the note on function, and doesn't have its own CC. I figure I would just use an arbitrary CC # and use it to control the velocity on the DFAM. If the MP-201 can convert midi cc's to cv, it should do what I...

MP-201 MIDI to CV with DFAM
I think I know the answer to this, but couldn't find anything definitive on the forum, so I figured I would post here and see if I could gain any insight from the knowledgeable folks here. My plan is to control the DFAM with an iPad sequencer, in order to have a longer pattern and/or varying time si...

Re: Need Voyager midi Note on to override Note off
Have you checked the keyboard mode on the Voyager? It should be set to 'last note'. You can find that in Edit Mode. From the manual, page 53: 3.3 KEYBOARD MODES KEYBOARD MODE allows you to select one of 4 types of keyboard priority for a preset. The keyboard priority determines what happens when mor...
