I have the same problem with the volume knob. It crackles on the lower third. It is very annoying because I use the volume a lot when playing out. I don't think it is oxidation... then the noise usually disappears after twisting the knob. The crackling remains no matter what I try. I wonder who fix...

Bought from dv247 and shipped from Music Store in Germany. Plastic shaft which is odd and therefore wobbly pots - disappointing!
How come mine has a plastic shaft with SN 8826? Weren't they changed 3000 units ago?

I've only owned it a few weeks and haven't had a real chance to play with it unit this week. Today I noticed the filter pot wobbling and making a squelch sound. When removing the filter cutoff potentiometer I noticed to my surprise a plastic shaft as opposed to metal. I had thought they were replace...
