Re: DIY Midi Cables 3 or 5 wires?
Here's what the Midi Spec 1.0 says about MIDI cables.
They show the cables having only two conductors, inside the shield.- Wed Sep 28, 2016 4:55 pm

Re: Inverted KB Pitch on Sub37
If you want to turn your keyboard around, you can use MIDI tuning to do that.
The attached zip file has several tuning "scales" that flip the keyboard at different reference points, and standard scales to bring it back to "normal".

Sub 37 Sequence Dumps
The zip file contains a listing of the sequences in the preset sys-ex files that come with the Sub 37 Editor. A preset is considered to have a sequence if the category is "sequence", or the arp switch is on, or the last-step of the sequence is set. I believe this information is accurate, b...

Re: Sub 37 mystery patch behaviour (bug?)
May I ask what tool you used to get that sysex dump? My own. It's pretty shabby code, though. It's written in Go, but the code quality is my fault, not that of the language. The Sub 37 Editor shows the same first/last step situation, though. (which was a relief, actually!) ((maybe this bug will tri...

Sub 37 for sale
I need to find a new home for my Sub37. I'm about 30 miles west of Chicago, so if anyone in the northern Illinois area is interested, please PM me so we can discuss this off the list. Thank you!

Re: Sub 37 mystery patch behaviour (bug?)
I can confirm that it does act strangely: - the arp rate led blinks normally, until the Arp On button is pressed and keys are played, then it becomes a short pulse - sluggish button response - extra silent note It's strange that the sequence says the first step is 42 and the last step is 3. When I c...

Re: Arp Rate Knob Working Properly?
My Arpegio is either stuck in some kind of Step Mode or it is just broken. Do you have the 'Sync' button turned on next to the Arp Rate knob? That changes the operation of the knob from a plain rate control to a MIDI timing divisor control. (someone else should correct my wording). Shouldnt I be ab...

Sub37: Parameter list with CC and NRPNs
I was looking at the table of parameters in the Sub37 manual, and noticed that the NRPN table has nothing for the amplitude envelope. So, I went digging a little and came up with this. The zip file contains some CSV and PDF files. The three CSV files contain the same data but sorted by parameter nam...

Re: Sub 37 constant MIDI stream
I think controller 90 is the Arpeggiator BPM knob, while "Effect control 2" is CC# 13, which is the Beat Freq knob. Maybe try wiggling them a little bit and see if the MIDI stream settles down? If you don't need any of the knobs sending CC messages, that can be turned off in the MIDI menu....

Re: Newbie to Forum - Basic Question (I hope)
I have neither piece of gear, but ... The Dark Time says it has MIDI -- if that is MIDI out, then connect it to the Voyager MIDI in. Might have to tell the Voyager to listen for external MIDI clock and run/stop messages. Alternately, I'd try connecting the Dark Time CV out to the Voyager Pitch CV In...

Re: How to change default preset settings?
Ummm, what instrument? For the Sub 37, if you really need it, there's an off-line manual procedure using a .syx file. Amos said this on the Beta support forum: actually you can change the init preset. :) take any single-preset sysex file and edit the sysex: the header begins F0 04 0C 05 ... or F0 04...

Re: Sub 37 Editor V2 wishlist
^^ speed up EXPORT/IMPORT BANK - a 200KB file takes 3 minutes? In the beta forum back in February I asked this: Just curious: why don't the "big" dumps, like All Presets and the Bulk Dump, go faster over USB? And Amos replied: Post by Amos » Thu Feb 11, 2016 10:27 am There is a fundamenta...

Inside the Minitaur firmware download file on Moog's site, at least for the Mac version, there are firmware installation instructions.
