Re: Subsequent 25 vs. Subsequent 37

There is another thread about this: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?t=35365 They also reference the SoundOnSound Subsequent 25 review: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/moog-subsequent-25?page=2 I have a Sub 37 and I would say having a screen and a 2nd modulator is a big difference. The...

Re: Moog Sound Studio bundles discontinued?

I'm not sure what is still being made post InMusic purchase. I got my DFAM used at a local store (Reverb, com has some too). That might be a consideration.

Re: Matriarch Sounds Weak

What is the patch you currently have set up? I would say test it by opening up the signal path to see how it sounds: - No Cables - Mixer: turn all 4 Osc knobs up - Filters: - turn Cutoff all the way to the right - both Resonance all the way to the left. - Spacing and Envelope Amt in the middle - Env...

Re: NAMM 2024: Will Moog have any new announcements during the show?

Yeah, I've been looking for coverage of Moog at NAMM since it starts today but I can't find anything. I was assuming they make some sort of show there to signal their new post-InMusic buy-out direction but I guess not...

Re: AI generated post invsasion

I don't know what's better for us to do: just not react? Post something that make obvious the previous posts are irrelevant? Admins, mods, any idea? I think you did the right think by asking is this a Gen AI post. If you are wrong the person will respond and then you apologize and its fine. If you ...

Re: AI generated post invsasion

Thanks for posting this. I saw the post that probably instigated your post here and I agree with you it was probably AI and certainly overly verbose and irrelevant to the conversation. I don't know if there is a way to prevent it but I agree that we as users should discourage it because it just adds...

Re: "Subsequent 37 or Matriarch: Which?"

I have both and both are beautiful but the performance experience is very different. It really depends on what you want to do. The biggest question is do you A) want to create patches that you can quickly pull up again, or B) do you want to use wires to create new patches on the fly. A is Subsequent...

Re: InMusic Blows.

I saw recently that Moog is still going to manufacturer its synths in Asheville North Carolina. If I’m remembering right due to concern about Taiwan being invaded. I'm curious where you heard that? I'd like to learn more. I know that's a perennial long term concern for Taiwan but I've never seen bu...

Re: Final Analysis....

I have several Moogs but not the One. My guess is that any quality hand-made in USA instruments before the InMusic era (which would likely include existing back stock of Ones) will have a higher resale value in 10 years because that type of quality will no longer exist at that point.

Re: Analog Delay for Sub 37?

I use my MF Delay with my Sub 37 all the time and it sounds great. There is enough head room a hot Sub 37 is not an issue. The MF Delay doesn't have a "gain" per say but it does have a "drive" knob that you can just turn down to 0 if you want it to clean.

Re: "Best speakers for Moog Subsequent?"

Is this for studio use or stage or both? If stage or both, just go with an amp. The Roland KC amps are create an durable (I have 20 year old one that's skill kicking): https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KC400--roland-kc-400-150w-12-inch-keyboard-amp Otherwise, go with a nice set of stereo monit...

Re: InMusic Blows.

A cafe in Baltimore where I live was abruptly closed by its owner over the summer and so the former workers worked with Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy ( https://www.baltimoreroundtable.org/ ) to re-open it as a fully employee-owned and operated business. I wonder if they could do the sa...
