Re: Matriarch + DFAM combo for first semi modular

Yeah, I've had drum machines and they are fun. DFAM is more of a groove box that can lay down some rhythmic elements to play with. It can produce drum sounds but its actually more interesting when you explore the broader sonic range. That means it can actually pair well with a normal drum machine by ...

Re: Matriarch + DFAM combo for first semi modular

I have a DFAM and Matriarch and they are a wonderful combination. I don't have a Mother 32, but from the looks of it there is nothing a Mother 32 can do that a Matriarch cannot. All of the Moog semi-modulars (including the Grandmother and Mother 32) can patch together however you want. The Matriarch ...

Re: Where are made last Subsequent 37

Moog is known for hand-assembling their instruments there. If there’s no visible label on your unit, it might be on the bottom or inside the packaging. But rest assured, it’s not made in China like some mass-produced gear.

This was true pre-InMusic buy out but some instruments, such as the ...

Re: Concerned about damaging unit

Check out the instruction manual for both to see their tolerances and configurability. For example, the Beatstep manual says in secton 9.1.4 that you can configure its output in the Midi Control Center app on your computer:

Re: Moog Muse VS Moog ONE

So far the muse reminds me a lot of the Matriarch but with multiple voices.

That makes me want to get one even more. I love the rawness of my Matriarch and have wished for a long time to have something with that sound in a real polyphonic instrument. (I see the Matriarch as a compact Moog ...

Re: Great News From Moog One Developers

And another wish if possible - I would love to see the diffusion delay from the Muse being implemented into the One

I am in no way associated with Moog, but I am a software engineer. The wiser play here is to only fix all the old bugs, Adding new features potentially adds new bugs, which I what ...

Re: Does a Muse replace a Sub 37?

True, it would be sad to prematurely let the Sub 37 go. If I can afford it, its probably better to keep the Sub 37 and just by the Muse when I can. If later I find the Muse does replace the Sub 37, I can always sell it later.

Does a Muse replace a Sub 37?

I have a Sub 37 I've had for years that I love the sound of for leads, basses, and even some minimal paraphony. I am considering getting a Muse. Can a Muse basically do everything the Sub 37 can do and more? Or do they still serve two separate purposes? I have played a Muse for about an hour in a ...

Re: MOOG Muse Forum

Good question. Moog needs to update this Forum a bit. They also haven't added Spectravox and Labyrinth under the semi-modular section.

Re: Moog Muse VS Moog ONE

They’ve done that before. They came out with the Subsequent 37 and then the 25 a couple years later. It makes sense. You build the big thing with everything and then figure out what features are used most and exclude the rest for the next smaller one.

Funny: I have the exact opposite ...

Re: Moog One is now a Top Seller!

I wonder if its rumors like these prompting the sales. Either prompting people to buy because they were hesitant to spend that much but now realizing it might be their last chance. Or it could also be speculators buying up Ones that they plan to re-sell at an inflated price once it is (supposedly ...

Thoughts on the Sprectravox?

I'm curious if anyone here has bought the Sprectavox and what their thoughts are on it? (I've watch YouTube reviews but I'm curious about other users.) I've been considering it to augment my Matriarch, Mavis and DFAM. I primarily use the Matriarch as a lead synth and the DFAM as my backing drum ...

Re: Spectravox manual

I don't know what its supposed to come with but I hope removing the paper manuals weren't one of the "cost cutting" measures from InMusic. But I agree with you, one of the things I love about analog synths is I'm not spending a lot of time in front of another screen!
