Re: Matriarch Paraphonic Playing "style"
Thanks, that is a good example. I actually just got mine a couple days ago and it is doable with some getting used to it. Here is me playing I will Follow you into the Dark by Death Cab on it: https://soundcloud.com/dialogues-with-m ... BM3y5NBYVE

Re: Matriarch: please allow stacked position of oscillators
Francishunt, is there a more formal way to send such a request to Moog than just posting stuff on this forum? hudri, I don't think it would be that difficult. It would probably be better for if there were two versions: a "Melody-First" mode and a "Bass-First" mode. In Melody Firs...

Matriarch: please allow stacked position of oscillators
It would be amazing if the Matriarch had a new global setting for a new paraphonic mode where each osc would always be associated with where it was on the chord. For example, the 4th osc would always be the highest note, the 3rd osc would always be the second highest, the 2nd osc would be second low...

Matriarch Feature Request: Sustain Pedal Setting like Sub 37
I just got a Matriarch and love all the beautiful rich colors I can make by using it for chords. One firmware feature I would love to see in a future update would be to have a setting for the SUS PEDAL IN to work like the GATE on the Sub 37 when it the setting for the GATE on it is set to SUS PED. C...

Re: Matriarch - Sonic Character
I'd have to agree with markyboard. Everything I've read about how Moog calibrates their components of each instrument is that the focus on what makes sense for that instrument as a whole. So you'll have to play around with more to get "the same sound" on each. Also, consider Matriarch has ...

Re: Matriarch Paraphonic Playing "style"
Yeah, I would also love the option for having an osc setting to assign each osc to a note in the chord stack. My Sub 37 can have it so one of the osc is always low or always high and that provides a great deal of control.

Re: Matriarch Paraphonic Playing "style"
I've been looking at getting a Matriarch to play it in paraphonic mode as I would a piano (or maybe organ?). I've only played it a little in store so far but from what I've read (as mentioned here), having round-robin off, paraphonic unison off, Update Unison with Note Off, and Restore Stolen Voices...

Re: Best complement for Grandmother ?
A Subsequent 37 would complement nicely in that it has saveable patches that you can re-call. It allows you to fine tune and go back to many complex sounds but also can make it feel less immediate when modifying a patch because where the knobs currently are won't change for the patch you just pulled...

Re: Has Moog indicated how many Moog One's will be produced?
Considering how many years they put into its design, I'd image they'd sell them as long as people keep buying them. It seems that generally they do a limited run with something when they are rebuilding classic models but have a limited number of the old parts available. Otherwise, they seem to keep ...

Re: Albums or songs that feature the Moog One
Robert Glasper's "F*ck Your Feelings" has it (you can see him and Herbie Hancock playing with it in the promo video) and he also plays it on a couple tracks on Brittney Howard's album "Jaime".

Can the Matriarch Convert CV to Midi?
One of the cool features on the Minitaur is that it can convert CV to Midi. From the Minitaur manual update: Minitaur can now convert multiple channels of Control Voltage to MIDI! This allows you to take CV sources such as modularsynths, a CP-251 Control Processor or a Moog Etherwave Pro theremin, a...

I didn't realize there was an upgrade. How much did it cost and was it worth it? What are the main differences?

Re: Can an audio signal be used as a CV signal?
Ah ok, thank you. It worked but it does frequency modulation. I think what I actually might want is an envelope follower but I'll probably have to get a separate Eurorack module like this https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/A-119--doepfer-a-119-eurorack-external-input-envelope-follower-module to...

Can an audio signal be used as a CV signal?
I have a Sub 37 and a Korg SV-1. Can I take the audio out of either the line outs or headphone out of the Korg and plug it into the volume or filter CV of the Sub 37 to affect those controls as a control voltage? I'd just go ahead and do it but I don't want to damage anything. If that can't be done ...
