Re: Sub 37 arp syncing?
It's possible too that it is syncd but doesn't yet sound like it due to the arp knob setting. I've found that the arp knob does some cool things relative to the incoming bpm. If you set the arp to somewhere close to the bpm in the master it should sync but if you move it away the arp will do dotted ...

Re: Massive amounts of MIDI messages being sent
I'm no expert but there's a setting to change if your synth should provide the clock signal or not (if say you wanted to sync a delay to your arp). That will cut down on half of those messages. Then if you say an instrument is waggling around can you tweak the mid wheel by hand to make it go off? Ma...

Re: Distortion pedal for sub37
I have the Bass Big Muff (as I said before) and like it fine. And the Waldorf sounds even better. But this thing is pretty awesome:

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37
Just booked up the Sub37 to an external midi clock for the first time this weekend and I deed, pushing the sync button makes it sync. What's interesting is that the arp speed knob still works, if you set it to somewhere near the bpm it will sound at the tempo but if you turn it up it will do dotted ...

I just hit the mute button. Unless you need to turn midi off.

Re: Fitting the Sub37 in molded road case
Hmm. Hate to hijack your thread but I'd be interested in other roadcases - maybe you looked at others before you selected the moog one.

Re: Distortion pedal for sub37
The question about symmetric or asymmetric clipping yielded this informative google result: http://www.geofex.com/effxfaq/distn101.htm Very interesting, but since I don't have lots of experience listening critically to overdrive/distortion/fuzz effects it's not so useful to me. I did pick up an EHX ...

Panel versus Preset, wth
Newb here, trying to make my way around this fine Sub37 right here. I admit to being completely flummoxed trying to get it to do something I wanted until I discovered the "panel" button. Now I can see that in panel mode, one can change all the knobs and get stuff to happen. But, ... the my...

Re: feature request ? switch for external input - SUB 37
I find most menu operations extremely fiddly. I think that adding a physical switch though would be a very easy hack.

Re: Sub 37 patch change during sequence playback
Exactly! This is one enabler for making music with more than one section. A reason the sequencer just isn't that interesting atm. Another would be to use different patches within one sequence so one could make eg an analog percussion track without having to track it.

Re: Non metronomic patterns?
Thanks for the reply, was talking to myself for a while there... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I get you on the value of a step sequencer, but since I'm not so much into dubstep house etc I don't think I'll use it except for the arpegiator and even then not much. Besides that, to me, a step sequencer is especially usef...
