Aftertouch Kill Switch
I like having aftertouch as a feature. But it cannot be denied its usage is personal, as it relates to: which parameters you like to trigger, the sensitivity of that triggering, the frequency of when you employ that option. For me personally, I don't use aftertouch that often, when I do its usually ...

Re: MOOG not recognizing new firmware file
This should work: 1- Use the USB stick that came with the Moog-One Its already formatted. I tried 2 other brands, properly fat-formatted, none of them got recognized by the ONE. 2- Do one thing at a time: Don't load anything else on your Moog thumb drive, download the firmware update, transfer the f...

Yes, clicking/popping noise here too. I think it has something to do with the unit warming-up.

Re: Moogerfooger Idea
I really didn't foresee my post evolving into a Eurorack discussion. I don't now nor have ever considered the Foogers to be any type of precursor to a synth module in any format. They are FX boxes, and IMO should be treated as such, if for no other reason, that's why they were designed. Not all synt...

Re: Support
I sense a little bit of Roger Arrick's "Modularity" philospphy in what you are posting regarding it being hard-wired. My response is: So? The CP row is great. I have found that when trying to design a system for cabinets that lack the CP row, the CP row is dearly missed. Having to devote ...

In a 9-month period, I bought a Voyager XL, (9) foogers, (4) 500-series modules, a System 55 ( #39) and the 953 controller. My nearest estimation I spent over $47,000 on Moog products. On 3 different occasions I properly contacted Moog tech support for problems I was having with the 55, and they nev...

Moogerfooger Idea
I have(9) Mooger Foogers rack-mounted. Needless to say, the Foogers take up a LOT of rack real-estate. Wiring the patch bays to cover all of the jacks on the backs of 9 Foogers was a considerable task and expensive.( 70 cables and 2-TRS bays.), along with the long power strip to accommodate 9 wall-w...

Re: For investors primarily?
I must admit, I was wrong.
I was able to buy #39 out of 55 and it shipped last week.
Sorry about my whining.......

Re: Suggestions for modular stands?
I have a sys 55 plus 2 Synthesizers.com expander bays on top and I find a professional "bakers" rack to be adequate and easy to roll. I can adjust the shelves to be any height, each shelf is rated at 800 pounds capacity, and I put 2 lower shelves beneath to house controllers. The whole uni...

thank you VERY much , Greg!GregAE wrote:There's one on KnobTweak that was submitted by Joshua Kolenc back in 2011, along with a couple other XL files. Here's a low res image of it:

XL-patch-panel templates
Sadly, I discovered in my XL owner's manual there was no patch-panel template of which I could make copies. I could not find one in here or on Google. ( the one on page 36 of my manual is a photograph and not practical for scribbling down patches. I recently upgraded my computer's OS only to find my...

Re: Voyager XL: What I would have done.
First off, years ago before the Voyager became reality Bob Moog sent out an anonymous survey to a prominent analog synthesizer discussion forum (AH, before many others existed) - home to many experienced (some professional) musicians - asking what they wanted in an analog synthesizer. The majority ...

Re: a new polyphonic Moog
Of course, most of use would LOVE to see some sort of a re-issue of the Memory Moog. Thats a no-brainer. Yes, given the "boutique" cost of Moog products in the most general sense ( ...and NO! This is NOT any type of complaint/criticism on their pricing) I expect a the price for a poly to b...
