"Hidden" Sub Oscillator

Hi, I discovered a way to bring somehow a LFO in the audio path adding even more bass to the sub37. Here are the basics to start: - Init preset -LFO1 : Mod destination FDBK -LFO1: keyboard track 100% -Mod bus1 : set Mod wheel amount to 0% -LFO1 keyboard tracking 100% -LFO1 range : high -Switch off a...

Re: 1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

The 1/3 tracking is quite cool, it can add some delightful dirt to the sound: try this

- Init sound
- Oscillator 1 Saw 50% volume
- Keyboard tracking 1/3
- Raise resonance just before self resonance
- Play notes and turn cut off

to make it more nasty : try 6dB filter , or turn up feedback

Re: 1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

Thanks for your response. The challenge is though that changing the KB tracking also changes the cut off frequency. I am unfortunately not blessed with perfect pitch hearing so I need to add an oscillator for pitch reference and correct both cut off frequency and KB track to find the right range. Fo...

1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

HI,

Does someone has a simple technique to get 1/3 or 2/3 keyboard tracking right on the sub37? I want to explore some minimoog like techniques on the sub37, but getting the filter tracking right is a bit tricky.

Cheers,

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output

Thanks for your response. I am right now 4 months without my Sub 37 due to what seems to be a minor issue: I brought my mint 5 month old home use only Sub37 personally to the local official Moog dealer where I bought this synth. They send it to the official tech support in Belgium for repair. After ...

Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output

Hi, Nearly 5 weeks ago I had to to send my sub37 for repair. Issue: random crackling and fading of the headphone output to complete silence. Occurs fully at random: days it works ok, and some days it happens over and over again. Main output signal is clear and stable. Machine has been tested at the ...

Sub 37 for " Fun with Maths "

Here is a small "educational" Sub 37 experiment to learn a bit about harmonics and scales : - Select " Init Preset" - Turn volume Osc 1 down, and Osc 2 half way - Set Osc 2 waveform to triangle (= the one with the least harmonics) - Switch dual mode on - Switch hard sync on Press...

Are you sure you are using the right tuning table? If every F and D are off I would have a peek at this.

SUB37 Sequencer suggestion for Panel mode

Like probably many I love the panel mode on my machine: just click it and forget about menu's and settings: the knobs tell you wat you hear:) Now I do understand the rational to link sequences to preset, but wouldn't it be great (and in the spirit of the panel mode) if , when you are in panel mode, ...

Re: feature request ? switch for external input - SUB 37

What would be nice is a function like tap tempo: hold for instance the mixer ext in button for 2 seconds and it would switch te external in, and holding again for 2 seconds back to feedback.

Just my 2cts :)

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin

Installed the editor this weekend. Really nice! Tip : If you install a VNC viewer on your iPad and connect to your host PC while running the editor it nicely fits on the device screen. As it is for me easier to put the iPad close to my Sub37 than the computer: this is the best way to peek what the a...

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist

A little more "in the box" request , as duo mode is so cool: New MOD PGM SRC: Single key (value -MAX) or Multiple keys (value + Max) pressed. Use case : destination EG times : single note short sound, 2 notes long sound.

Cheers,

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist

Hi,

What I would like is (probably) sysex midi output with all sequencer parameters when changing a sequence: In that way an app on a small device could act as a 2nd display to show what the sequence and its parameters look like

Happy knobbing,

Re: Moog, what's next to develop for the Sub37?...

It would be great if , while editing the sequencer, a Sysex would be send out with all the sequencer data: in that way an app could act as second display to show more in detail what is happening in the sequencer.
