Re: Significant loss of volume when using Y-cable (Sub37)
Wish I could give you a definitive answer, but I'm not really geeky on the subject. I'm "pretty sure" (famous last words  ) what you've got happening there is an "impedance mismatch" type of thing. Google it if you dare, but be warned there's math involved   :s...

Re: Significant loss of volume when using Y-cable (Sub37)
y-cables are splitters, not mixers.
Beg, borrow or steal a small mixer, (ie: Mackie 1202 or equivalent) and use that for summing your signals.
I'll leave it up to the more well informed to chime in about why.

Re: Fab service
Sihaz, In this context "Source" means whatever retailer you purchased the synth from. Contact them and they should be able to get you fixed up. Be sure to mention the problem first appeared DURING the warranty period, and that you were in touch with Moog at that time. Depending on the circ...

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output
It's a known issue (a bad batch of circuit boards??) A couple of threads here dealing with it here. http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24075&p=148099&hilit=headphone+jack#p148099 http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23485&hilit=headphone ask your service cen...

Re: velocity sensitivity sub 37
I actually have problems on the other end, soft notes are nearly impossible to trigger. Loud is no problem

Re: velocity sensitivity sub 37
Not according to the change log, or my attempts to get a usable (for me) setting "MOOG SUB 37 - CHANGE LOG NEW IN 1.2.0 • Full compatibility with Sub 37 Editor software • Compatibility with Sub 37 USB MIDI driver for Windows • MOD WHEEL added to the SEQ MOD DESTINATIONS list • Sequencer MIDI ou...

Re: Sub 37 Audio Rate LFOs
I HAVE the synth, it lives in my studio. CONFIRMED- Using the oscillators to mod anything is impossible, that page in the "CONTROLLERS" menu refers to the physical controllers only. eg. assign OSC2 PCH to cutoff will let you control the filter with the Osc. 2's Octave Switch and Frequency ...

Re: Sub 37 Audio Rate LFOs
In the interest of total clarity, the above applies to cross-modding the oscillators, which I believe is impossible on this synth.
Audio rate modulation of other parameters MAY be possible, I don't have the synth here to check.

Re: Sub 37 Audio Rate LFOs
Yeah, that's a little misleading.
What the manual means is:
"OSC1 PCH: Oscillator 1’s *Octave Selector Switch*
and
OSC2 PCH: Oscillator 2’s *Octave Selector Switch*
i.e. the Mod Source is the the position of the switch - eg. 16' - not the frequency of the oscillator

Bumping this 'cuz this is probably what moog needs to address 1st. An editor is kinda redundant in a knob-laden synth, IMHO

Re: Distortion pedal for sub37
If you want a really nice distortion, the Suhr Riot would be top of my list. I am a guitarist. Big Muff's can be harsh and grainy. I would go more upmarket. I agree for the most part. I would never consider ANY distortion pedal that didn't have a blend knob. And not too sound too snotty, but unless...

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin
You may want to read through this thread before responding with such conviction. :D I'll save you some clicks. Hi all. A number of sites advise that "the Sub 37 Tribute includes a free standalone/plugin editor that is compatible with all major plugin formats". Please can someone advise if ...

Re: sub 37 wobbly pots
Hi Sihaz, ...it seems strange that some of the pots still retain their "premium feel" while others are degrading. Guess I'm lucky mine lasted a year. Would be good to hear from Andy at moog though. I'm now waiting for a reply over three weeks... Follow your instincts on this. For a pot (or...
