Re: Filter sweeps.
Thanx A.M. ...this is most appreciated. Right now I'm going to experiment with the 904 abc as you described. The little pieces of information you shared are like gold dust in my never ending search for certain sounds. I knew the 907 reduces the audio level and I've never been happy with this. I almo...

Re: Filter sweeps.
Hello...not sure how to add an audio sample here.... But think of Jimi Hendrix Wah pedal where it really bites and " talks"and imagine that a lot slower and brassy. I've tried incorporating the Fixed Filter bank in the signal and that does help a great deal as does a High Pass filter and e...

Filter sweeps.
Listening to 70's recordings etc I've noticed how filter sweeps on original Modular's of the time could produce a really biting and expression filter sweep. Hard to describe but a round soft tone that sweeps into a cutting treble WiiooooW. I know that with a standard Vco to Vcf you cannot get this s...

Re: Transistor matching
Many thanks for your quick and detailed reply. I believe the question over the Norlin matching circuit relates to a missing 10k resistor on the pnp section ? I think that’s what it is . I know most test meters have hfe measurements in them. So….given what you have explained and let’s say in theory y...

Transistor matching
Can someone confirm that the method of matching transistors for most Moog modular systems is by Vbe measurement and not hfe measurement ? The matching diagram in the back of the Norlin manuals seems to confirm it is by Vbe . Is there a significant difference between the two measurements …if matching...

Re: Custom Emerson 901's...
This is good . Are you planning to make the information available ?
ie circuit schematics etc ? I guess you put a lot of time and effort into this Can you tell us where the original information was located ? I can only think you had access to Keith’s stuff…choose what, great effort.

Re: Moog Model 10 Tuning and Warm Up Time
I made natty little thermal jackets out of thick packing foam for the relevant transistors in the 901a/b ‘s
Seems to help and worth it for the sound of the 901b’s.
Takes an hour and costs nothing.

Re: External keyboard controller ..no luck. SOLVED
Thanx for all replies ..sorry for delay. It’s solved ! There is a small title that pops up in the app that’s just says ..q25. I didn’t realise it had to be clicked on and highlighted ..no mention of this as I found. Most links tend to show a bright box pop up to say ...such and such connected ..enab...

Re: External keyboard controller ..no luck
I got an Alesis q25 to overcome the problem of iPad not detecting midi keyboard... Still no luck ! I’ve tried different connections and powers usb hubs, a to b cables etc The iPad simply won’t recognise the q25. When plugged in nothing happens at all. iPad is two years old and up to date. Do I need ...

Ranges ??? Different oscillators
After now accumulating many various oscillators from different sources (but all Moog orientated ) such as Moog, AJH, Behringer 55 etc etc I’m finding that the basic range setting of them all differ wildly ! At setting of say 0 on each oscillator the octaves can be so different. Some are 2-3 octaves ...
