Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin

sorry, I wasn't that clear. I bought my keys in summer 2014 and overbridge was supposed to come out the following september, but it ended up being a lot later, though I'm not sure exactly when. I just meant to say that I don't feel that either company neglects their users, especially Moog. They str...

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin

not sure I agree. overbridge took a bit longer than announced, and moog has actually added and fixed quite a lot in the upgrades. I don't recall: Was Overbridge announced and marketed at the A4's launch? Just checked. Overbridge was announced in 2014. The Analog Four was released in 2012. Overbridg...

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin

That's false advertising. This is exactly what it is. Our brand affection, brand association and brand fandom can be a source of joy and fun, but it is a perilous emotional stateā€”it can delude and blind us to legitimate criticism, even ones of ethics. Moog should not promise an important, and to so...

Posted in gearslutz today (Sep 10) by Amos (in response to editor software): Sorry about that; we're a small operation. That happens to mine too. I had just assumed it was to preserve the life of the lights, thinking all the rapid flickering for extended durations might age them faster.

Re: Does the Sub 37 MIDI go to sleep after inactivity?

So, as to the MIDI, it's possible your processor gets hung. Does it do any other digitial functions besides MIDI? I do leave other apps open, along with Logic, most of the time, unless I need all CPU power for recording, then I'll reboot for a fresh start and close all other apps. With respect to p...

Does the Sub 37 MIDI go to sleep after inactivity?

When using the Sub 37 as controlling for other synths, I find that sometimes it stops sending MIDI (the MIDI button also no longer flickers red) after a short period of inactivity. Is this a feature of the Sub 37 and Is there a way to reactivate its MIDI function besides turning it off and on again?...

Recording Pot Tweaking's MIDI data in DAW

I have a couple questions on recording the MIDI data from the manipulation of the various Sub 37 pots in a DAW (Logic in my case). 1) After some googling, I found I could use the Automation Mode button in the channel strip to achieve what I'd like with software synths. Is this the right approach for...

Re: Save preset on sub 37

Not that I'm aware of.

To work around it, I hit Compare, then go to the Bank/Slot I have in mind to see if it's free, before saving there.

Indeed I am. I assumed Duophony was just a more syllabically friendly way of saying 2-voice Polyphony.

Thank you, ChiLam and MoogProg, for the explanations!

Getting Paraphony to sound like Duophony

The Sub 37 is my first experience with Paraphony. Are there ways of getting the paraphony on it to sound more like duophony?

I've noticed that if I set both Osc. to the same pitch and KB CTRL to Low or High that makes quite a difference.

Thanks for any insight.

When you are a Windows user you can find here http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23716 a solution to use the Sub Phatty Editor to do all this with your Sub 37: - DAW integration - Preset management - See how Sub 37 patches are constructed - Using Sub Phatty presets on your Sub 37 Th...

I've read that section a few times already. That's different info, at least to my beginner's interpretation, from what I eventually discovered, and ChiLam confirmed for me.
