Re: High Pass Filter on Mother32...weak?

Resonance doesn't work with the high pass filter, or at least as normal. There's an explanation in the manual about how to go about adding resonance though. But yeah, it's not a particularly great high pass. I've read speculation that it's simply adding the original signal to an inverted copy of the...

Re: Low volume output when mounted in Eurorack.

That's definitely strange, and not what I'm seeing. I'm patching the VCA out at full blast into a crossfader, with a Dixie II+ sawtooth on the other end and the level is about the same. It's also the same if I use the raw sawtooth out. Only difference is that there's always a tiny bit of filter on t...

Re: Low volume output when mounted in Eurorack.

Well if you're using the filter it will certainly be quieter than a non-filtered module -- that's the point of a filter after all. Is the volume level from the raw oscillator outs correct?

Re: Synchronise LFO with sequencer

The LFO cannot be synced, no. But you can use the Assign out to do a stepped, synced triangle wave.

Re: Mother with analog four?

The A4's sequencer is great when hooked into the Reset jack of the M32: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13YdtfP6PVY I made that about a month before the new update which has triggers on probability which makes it even more fun. Just make sure you have a trigger always on on step 1 to ensure the firs...

Re: Question about using CC1 for Cutoff Modulation

Make Noise Maths is a slew processor at heart, among many other things. Function also works if you don't have the HP. But really pretty much any slew processor should work.

Buffered Mult fixes KB Out calibration

Looks like there's a few of us who've been having trouble getting an external oscillator to track the Mother's KB Out jack. I've heard it's likely due to an impedance mismatch but I'm not an electrical engineer so I can't really comment there. I spent some time investigating and it looks like the so...

Yeah I use the XKey 37 and it's great. Only annoying part is that it tends to be a bit... clacky.

Re: KB cv output calibration?

I've noticed some real weird things happening with my Mom's KB out. Last week I was using it with my FreqBox just fine -- everything in tune perfectly. Then I wanted to use the KB out to track the filter as well so I patched KB into the buffered mult... And suddenly the KB jack didn't track the Freq...

Re: CP-251 bottom power supply?

Yeah I got one a couple months ago and I damn near broke my thumb trying to get that plastic cap off. Opened it up and sure enough there's nothing underneath. Bummer, I have it mounted vertically so a bottom plug would be nice.

Re: racking the fooger collection

So for those of you in a studio setting, I found a easy, if not exactly cheap solution. This alleged laptop stand is 18" across almost exactly, and fits three foogers pretty much perfect. 70 bucks but it does a good job. Does the job well enough, and lets me set them above the MS-20 http://i.im...

Trick o' the day: 251, MS-20 and CV synth

Cute little trick I thought I'd share... If you have an MS-20 and some non-Korg synth (I have a Microbrute for example, but anything else w/ CV out should work), you probably know that it uses Hz/V, and thus won't talk to other synths which use V/Oct. Fewer people know that the MS-20's Total and FRE...

Re: Time For New Moogerfoogers!

The MF-103 Phaser is a 12 stage phaser, but the first 6 stages are fixed to being modulated by a Triangle wave LFO. You can add another LFO to the last 6 stages via the sweep-in jack.. Maybe I'm misreading you or how the pedal works in general but isn't this what the sweep jack is for? I have two d...

Re: Discontinuation of MF-107 and MF-105m

... and replying to my own reply I got it working after about an hour. Didn't realize that the Freq knob is the offset I was looking for (the b to the trimpot's m in y = mx + b ) but once that was done it was just a matter of getting the trimmer close a couple dozen times until I lucked out and land...
