Re: Are You Happy with Your Moog One? (Considering buying)
Given all we now know about the lacklustre (generally) sound for an expensive analog synth, and ALL of the reported problems, combined with the sheer cost of the thing.. I would (and have) skipped the Moog One. I've not long had a Prophet 10 Rev 4 in and it's SUBLIME. Everything tonally, build wise,...

Re: Stiff filter pot
Update. My Sub 37 is all working now, moog sent me a new (metal pot) board which I fitted, this also fixed the headphone distortion (the driver chips for headphone out are on the same board not on the mainboard thankfully). I don't mind the slightly stiffer action of the new style filter vs my previ...

Re: Sub37 - Have you had this much trouble with other synths
Do you mean the main board? And hearing that the headphone output fault is a PCB and knowing the only PCB other than the control panel is the mainboard looks like I'm going to have to get that sent back too? headphone out is fed from the main board thru the 2 ribbon cables in the panels boards, so ...

Re: How many is a limited edition?
I think we can all agree by now that it's really not a limited edition anything. In fact it's sold very well and seems every studio pic or video I see these days has a sub 37 (with good reason of course it rocks!). However this does mean it's less rare than many of probably assumed it would be...

Re: New Sub 37 Owner Few Questions?
Just an FYI if you buy nearfield monitors many are designed to not have a lot of bass (the smaller and cheaper ones in your price range) while a decent set of , say, AKG headphones will give you more bass - while you wouldn't wanna rely on 'bassy headphones' for mixing you may find playing your sub3...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
Does anyone know what springs I could order as possible replacements? I'd really like my Sub 37 to have a light touch closer to my Nord Lead, but to at least reduce the tension on the black keys so they better match the white keys would be a good first step. Has anyone had any luck with modificatio...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
Is you guys keys level with each other mine are all over the place. I just got it today and had a hole in box from shipping wonder if keys got knocked out of alignment? Got it from Guitar Center and they shipped it in Moog box with nothing around it :(. http://i.imgur.com/IjKIcPM.jpg Sadly quite a ...

Re: Stiff filter pot
Ok. I'd much rather have something that lasts vs issues :) Its very usable just not as easy to spin fast. Yes it is a higher number .... in the 8000's if i recall correctly. I do have an ep-3 ..... when using with the subphatty i didnt seem to get the whole range of the sweep yet but i havent tinke...

Re: Sub37 - Have you had this much trouble with other synths
i had the distorted headphone output, sorry to say its the op amp and my curcit board had to be replaced, if your under warrentry i`d look at getting sorted!! Do you mean the main board? I have this problem also! it comes and goes in cycles and goes mega distorted even when not playing. I agree it'...

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist
Amos said he was going to fix the arpeggiator back/forth latched mode so as to work 'musically' (like a Juno 60) a while back, I've got the latest (beta) FW + editor and It still feels off so I hope that's gonna still be addressed as I find an ARP without that 'lock' working properly to be far less ...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
@seanpark Moog sent me a replacement keybed (they don't apparently cost that much - around $30 hence their crappy quality I guess ;) ) - I wouldn't know where to get one otherwise! I've only lightly used my Sub 37 the past months because I've been busy with other things but now it's back to using da...

Re: shout out to andy at moogmusic
It is weird, last year Moog seemed very responsive but this year it seems to be taking longer to get anywhere. I too have developed a couple of pot faults (inc filter pot) within the warranty period and have been passed around between 3 parties and the 3rd (in the UK) hasn't even responded (contacte...

Re: Garbage concert
When you say triggering sequences do you mean the sub 37's own sequencer/sounds or as a midi controller for something else that stores bigger/complex sequences. Maybe it was hard to tell that detail from the crowd

Re: Sub 37 headphone jack crackling and distorted
Well make sure to update us on what they say! The fact mine always happens after X amount of time (heat related perhaps) makes me feel it's not the wiring. I've repaired similar faults on old alpha juno op-amps, soldered in a new chip to get rid of crackling but something simpler like a lose cable w...

Re: Anyone else have this issue with their Sub37?
I guess the MIDI buffer could get stuck in a loop and maybe overun the buffer (or summink), if it's MIDI related?
Thankfully have never had this problem when using MIDI or not. Fingers crossed.
