Re: POLYMOOG NOT WORKING ANY MORE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I read correctly, there was advice up above to disconnect the supply connector and check voltages. I recall that the instructions for Heinz's supply said not to power it without being connected to load. I could be wrong but that's what I remember reading back then without now tearing through my s...

Re: Memorymoog Power Supply woes

Re: Memorymoog Power Supply woes
Thanks Chuck. Still considering that. .... Any further advice to a man with his first MM experience? Yes, throw the power supply out and replace it with the new, sorry. When that stock supply fails it takes chips out. You're risking further damage to the synth. You can't even check the pins when th...

Re: Memorymoog Power Supply woes
I strongly recommend you abandon fixing that oven of a supply, period, and replace it with the Heinz Weierhorst switching supply. Good thing I looked and saw this thread because that stock supply is simply not good for the synth and yours has failed. This is a no brainer decision. It is rev.2 of the...

Re: Need original patch data for MM+
Hi Bryan, I can answer any questions you have about the Power Supply. Heinz, who designed and builds it, is very busy presently building supplies per order and repairing/restoring vintage synths for his European clientele. As such I'm answering initial enquiries such as yours on his behalf. The supp...

Re: Need original patch data for MM+
Unrelated to the patches, but I wanted to make you aware that a gifted designer in Germany is selling a new switching power supply which replaces the stock oven. I have one in mine, the heat sink and fan are now gone as they are no longer needed. The supply greatly improve the tuning of the VCO'S an...

Re: Polymoog "Rev 2" High Quality" New Powersupply
Hi Chuck, I guess you got the CEM3340 and Memorymoog screw from me OK then. How much was the new PS? Hi Doug, I did and thank you! I haven't even put that vco in yet you sent because the synth is now even holding the two bad date code 3340's (I suspect Mike Bucki swapped without telling me) since t...

Re: Why does this Modular sound so incredible ?
The front panel has nothing whatsoever to do with what Euroracks sound like. They are all made out of mixed modules, many of which are more akin to circuit bending than normal synth modules. The mix mismatch coupled with the fact most Eurorack oscillators and filters are below par in many ways compa...

Re: Minimoog Fools.......or ......Voodoo...?
D1 caused sparking. I heard it when I repowered, the front panel display even ghosted when it happened. D1 is 100% deoxit. D5 isn't. I agree that 91% isopropyl is better, which I used to use without any problems.
