Re: Sub 37 Editor v1.0.0 & Firmware v1.2.0 is now available

Uninstalled the USB driver. Ran the Firmware Updater. It took several attempts at stopping and starting the Sub 37 before the firmware install finally started. Ran for quite a while but did complete successfully. Installed the USB Midi 2.23 driver for Win 7. Installed the Editor. Changed the Midi In...

That supports the documentation. I will try that Amos. Thanks for the quick response!

Re: Sub 37 Editor v1.0.0 & Firmware v1.2.0 is now available

Ok I seem to have conflicting info and not sure whether to proceed or not. The instructions with the software say NOT to install the USB Midi driver until the firmware updater is installed. This comment says to install the USB Midi driver first ... and then the firmware updater. I tried to install t...

Re: Minitaur range question

I just got mine and thought it would probably only be good for bass notes but in fact it plays leads quite nicely in the middle range as well up to the note as described by previous posters. There's some interesting patches for leads as well as bass you can access via the editor. If I transpose my k...

Re: Minitaur Volume CV

The default volume Cv changes the output level of the sound. However using the editor software you can map it to almost any other parameter on the minitaur, including the VCA sustain level.

Re: First post: blown away by the Minitaur

I have had a Sub37 for almost a year now but I was feeling like I wasn't using it to full potential because I kept using it for bass sounds which I dearly love (I'm also a bass player). So I decided to add a minitaur with a 25 key keyboard for bass duties. It seemed a little under whelming at first ...

Re: Does the editor work with Win 7?

I just got my minitaur and intalled the editor on Win 7. I am triggering the minitaur by midi keyboard and using the editor in stand alone mode just to tweak the minitaur settings. It works like a charm so far. Pretty slick.

Re: Midi Light does not turn on - no sound

Not sure if you have had any luck yet.Chances are your minitaur is fine and it has something to do with your midi hookup. Make sure the midi cable is connected to the mid out of your keyboard. Also make sure if your keyboard has a setting for midi channel that it is set to channel 1. And also make s...

Re: New Mother 32 - first weekend of fun, first thoughts

Hope Sweetwater isn't months away from fullfilling. Really want to get my second one soon to start playing with it. Hate to burst your bubble man. I heard someone just received theirs from an order placed Oct 15th. Myself I ordered Nov 27th and I am guessing sometime in late February or March. If y...

Re: High pass filter

In my experience many basic PA type bass speakers are not designed to handle really low bass. Electro Voice doesn't strike me as a company name either which excels in bass speakers either but I am not familiar with them. It sounds like if you want really deep saturated bass you probably do need a su...

Re: Sub 37 Expansion Options?

with my 37 i found myself typically locked into an arp/bass line then i felt the need to be able to play on top of it - my subphatty or micro did this but then mother came home. Yes that is precisely what I am feeling currently. So now the 32 is connected midi to the 37, and the arpeggios i used to...

Re: Sub 37 Expansion Options?

I bought two minitaurs to use with my sub37. They are great independently OR polychained to the sub37. Nice. How would you say the bass of a minitaur compares to a Sub 37 in terms of sound shaping? Any limitations? I do like the idea of putting an expression pedal on the filter for bass also, that ...

Re: Sub 37 Expansion Options?

Yes I specifically mentioned the Minitaur. I don't know sound and feature wise it compares bass wise to the Sub 37 or to the Mother-32 however. That's what I am hoping to gain some clarification on from experienced users.

Re: Sub 37 Expansion Options?

I don't have a dedicated reverb/delay. However I do have 3 Strymon pedals I share with all my synths using a mixer send/return. Mobius, Timeline and Big Sky. Would love to have a dedicated MF104M delay for the Sub 37 but that's fairly pricy.
