Re: Moog One ?

I love the beat-frequency knobs!!! Basically it's linear-FM detune in addition to the common exponential tuning knob. The downside of how virtually all synths do this is that if you set VCOs to have some slow beating at the low end of the keyboard, the beat frequency will be too fast at the high en...

Re: Moog One ?

That’s Dan’s punishment for writing such great manuals! 8) Not punishment, reward. Sure, every night, for a year and a half, I came home to the burden of knowing I had to work on "that damn manual', but the reward was that One was also there, waiting to be turned on, learned, and defined. Now ...

Re: Moog One ?

Anyone else seen this patent for the Variable core VCOs that the Moog One is supposed to have? Very exciting! From what I understand based on the patent, it will be able to not only do the usual waveforms but also do wavefolding, as well as generate custom waveforms, and create custom waveforms that...

Re: Voyager XL Mods

I plan to mod my XL by adding a "spacing" CV input control on the patch panel possibly a "resonance" as well http://el34.coolpage.biz/images/panel_mod.jpg but there isn't enough room for two holes & preserving the text + white outline around the inputs So for aesthetics I mi...

Re: RIP Moogerfooger

Sad news.

What would be cool is if they were reincarnated as modules,
If Moog were to start selling individual modules.

Re: What Are Your Recording Setups?

I have moogerfoogers as well as a lot of other effects pedals, Then for preamps I have a 4 Channel API Clone, and a UA 2-610 My interface is a UA Apollo 8 Black. I would get some hardware compressors or EQs if I can eventually, but for now, most of the processing After the preamps is UAD plug-ins. I...

Re: Tranqulity Base, countdown engines on

It would probably never happen but if Moog does a Polysynth, I would like To see them just go huge like Waldorf did with the Quantum. My dream Moog poly would be like if Moog did their own version of what the Alesis Andromeda Was supposed to be only better and modern. 16 voices, At least bi-timbral,...

Re: Isao Tomita Patches?

There was an album released in Japan only in 1977 called Sound Creature, which showed some of the techniques he used to build some of his particular sounds, along with a booklet of illustrations of these techniques. I don't have this in my collection, but have always meant to track it down to check...

Hi,

Does anyone here know how Isao Tomita created some of his famous sounds, such as:

Whistle?

Moog music is not currently listed on the directory for NAMM.
They don't seem to be doing trade shows at all anymore.

Re: Voyager xl + RMEx3

Hello all, I am new to this world so please forgive my green questions. I have a voyager xl and 3 Voyager RME. I am going to midi connect them for quadraphony. I plan to send the R/L out from the xl to an analog mixer stereo and send the mixers mono out (no stereo out option) to an audio interface....
