Re: Model D - keyboard assembly & restoration
Similar thread going on here by "jaythejunkie". Might have a partial keyboard assembly that would get you going towards bringing the instrument back to life..? Once you find a keybed that fits correctly, CAE sound sells buss bars and springs to build up the switching parts of the keyboard ...

Re: help dismantling keybed pratt reed Model D.
I'd leave the wood. It's got character and if you want to make the wood really nice, you've got to take it all apart, sand through a few grits etc etc. Just clean with a wood furniture cleaner or some mild cleansing wipes and let it go. You can always tackle the wood case as a different project down...

You can mix 'em up no problem, they have note letters molded into them, underneath.

Re: The Manfred Mann Minimoog/Oberheim SEM combo
Being able to control a SEM or two from the Mini's keyboard, having a little outboard Mixer to blend them, or running it into the ex. input would no doubt open the sonic landscape. I don't want to drill holes either so if I was going to mod mine I'd run any jacks/switches etc. out from the left hand...

Re: Minimoog Sound Chart
My thought would be to put the picture in Excel and then uses a set of fields to type the values into. I think adding numbers on top of an image would be possible too, do it in word and "arrange" the image -"send to back" or something like that. Maybe set the image as a watermark...

Re: Minimoog Sound Chart
You could use WORD You could use EXCEL You could Use PHOTOSHOP You could use COREL DRAW on and on and on and BUT!!! Are you going to fire up your computer or open the file you need to save your patches in the moment? Sounds like a drag to me. IMHO, the analog way may be best: Get a good factory Patc...

Re: Moog Music UK 90s Minimoog?
To sum up the SOS review of it (read it last night) -Liked the additional sound features (PWN, multi triggering) -Wondered why no Sync, etc why only go half way in adding they asked. -Didnt like the switches chosen for front panel. -Didnt like the DIP switches used to control some things. -Wondered ...

Maybe some sort of harmonizer pedal?
adding phattys or sub37's to get pads seems like a lot of $$$ and work for a single sound!

Re: Model D Refurb in progres... (new guy)
Good thought Tom.. I did raise the big caps to 1500 from 1000 since I was in there, but the voltage is locked. It's well regulated at least! My understanding is that the 6.2v diode is the "reference" for the rest of the system and R21, the +v trimmer sets a voltage for the transistors to &...

Re: Model D Refurb in progres... (new guy)
I know the regulation is more important then the absolute value. But I'd still like to see if I can get this to sit at 10v, because thats where it should be... Its something I'm going to take a look at in the future. The synth is all back together singly nicely now. I was just wondering if the peopl...
