Re: Can I buy a Fatar keybed from a Subsequent 37 for my Sub
I'm hoping for the same. I put in a RFQ and moog never responded. I already paid for a replacement keybed because mine was defective.
I'll pay for a subsequent keybed too if they'll sell me one.

Re: New Keypad
Hopefully Moog will make some of these keybeds available. I submitted an RMA a while back that has gone unanswered so far, I suppose they're busy with Moogfest and whatnot.
Love my Sub 37 but the keybed is very fatiguing.

Re: Dustcover / decksaver - do you really need it?
Except for the massive filter pot tbe S37 uses sealed potentiometers (knobs). These are not susceptible to dust in normal operating conditions.
Just dust the unit every week or so. I use a feather duster on all my equipment periodically.

Re: LCD screen intermittently fails
I would check the connections between the circuit boards and the affected components. The sub37 is pretty serviceable. If you're not comfortable doing it then ask a techie friend or ship it to moog.

Re: Stand recommendations for Sub 37
I use Ultimate Apex stand. It's variable height so you can play standing up or sitting down and just a single column so no legroom issue. I use mine for live use with 3 tiers. Motif xf6 on bottom, korg m50 in middle and sub 37 on top Are the Apex stands tall enough to comfortable play the bottom sy...

Re: Please make the sub37 beat freq go higher!! :/
I think the beat freq knob is just a fine offset for OSC2. The frequency knob to it's left is much more coarse.
Try barely nudging the frequency knob to get more intense beats. It doesn't take much! You can use to beat freq knob to fine tune it.

I don't know if it's been changed but have you adjusted the sensitivity to your taste?

Re: is the sub 37 right for me?
Have you played other synths? I went with the Sub37 after comparing most of the under $2000 stuff available at the time. Now there are several other options. Check out DSI stuff, KARP Odyssey, and others. Any decent music store will let you spend hours trying stuff out, bring a pair of your own head...

Re: Sub 37 stuck on "Init Preset" screen
I think Moose is right. The Init Presets are not special, they are just patches with a generic name and little modulation. You may have selected a particular group of presets (such as lead, bass, effects, init).
Can you use the BANK and PRESET buttons to select bank 1 preset 1?

Yes Step Edit mode allows editing of each step's pitch data. In real time, too.

Re: Sub 37 Chromatic Scales for all 3 octaves
I'm not sure what to make of all that MIDI data...
But sometimes tuners can be fooled by synth patches with weird harmonic content. Have you tried checking tuning with a single OSC, simple waveform, and filter all the way open?
