Hello :) I work in Sound Engineering and Design. I'd like, if I can, give you a big tip. With all the respect (please note), my deepest suggestion for you is to tweak the machine with your own hands, instead of wasting time looking for cool sounds. Basically, becouse if your passion has been strong ...

no..
heterodyning is a different thing.
Since old analog stuff used tubes and a very poor EM shield, hand of player and tubes acts as a big capacitor.. making the Voltage changing.

I have a radio scanner.. it's a receiver wich I use often to record sound effects. Basically I can listen any frequency between 150Khz up to 3Ghz (Giga ; ) Yes here in Europe AC V is around 220/230 Volts..I guess USA is 110V Also here Frequency of AC is 50Hz while in the US is 60Hz (and this is why ...

Weird noises!

I've discovered a funny High frequency interference..in the radio band, around 125.630 Mhz If your voyager is turned on and you tweak pots you can hear a modulated interference. :) You never end to discover the craziness and beauty of this machine. Post Scriptum: Frequency may (?) vary depending by ...

yes yes yes...take care of ultra low frequencyes..you better listen with very good monitors... By the way I record my moog both with line and also with microphone techniques. Bruce Botnick (Doors' Engineer) once writed about this, and I agree. Like the Bass, synthesizers (especially analog ones) can...

The best way to record your moogs

Heya! few days ago a friends of mine gave me a gift: A 4 tracks 1/4" Teac 3440. Needless to say that this baby is the most wonderfull thing for my voyager. That thing sounds like heaven's bells. indeed super sound of the 70s :) Analog recorders such this are easy to find and quantegy still make...

yes, a monophionic strings sound has no sense mostly, by the way strings sounds are synthesized with sawthoot waveforms, mid-long attacks and mid-short releases on evenlope generators (wich has sustain). filters are not modulated, and the cutoff can be someway open around 1KHz or little more. can be...

Yeah I agree!
a memorymoog would be too much expensive, BUT a poliphonic oscillators expansion for voyager could be a very interesting solution...and less pricey by the way

just one thing:
try to look if these controls are assigned to other controls into the Pot mapping.
As a matter of fact, when a pot is mapped on another pot, you loose direct control on the original pot the same way happens to you.

by the way this is just an hipothesys

It would be fun to have a "Moog Drop Box Society".
A place for moog users to share moog tunes freely :)
