no, overdubbing a duo patch will not sound the same as 4 sub 37s together. duo mode shares oscillators, so you get half of the oscillators that 4 sub 37's would have.
overdub your sub 37 4 times (once for each note) to get a better idea of how it would sound.

Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
Moog should never say "it's done when it's done" because that is like saying water is wet. But Amos has said that it will be very soon now, he is just finishing bugs off before adding a few more features because of being behind schedule. I suggest using the Beta version which is very stabl...

major bug in 1.0.9p4
after saving a patch, some steps in the sequencer will have "ratchets" that you did not put there . you can then edit the steps with "ratchets" and remove them with step + Latch but after you save your patch the ratchets will be there again. ratchets are not being saved correctly...

you should be able to preview a value without editing it. hold a modifier button and then turn a knob the current value would be displayed in the LCD but the value not changed.

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.1 coming - Video demo with Amos
its pretty easy. you just hold the bank button then press the right octave button to scroll to the next set of 16 notes. the left button goes the other way. the only problem is once again there is not any indication of your position in the LCD. i would like more feedback from the LCD esp when changi...

Really curious to find out if the new way to edit sequences using the bank buttons is limited to 16 step sequences only or is it possible to scroll through and edit all 64 possible notes somehow?

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.1 coming - Video demo with Amos
well a few emails was definitely worth the effort! this update is an upGRADE. the only thing i see is that after you learn a destination the mod page does not update the parameter information until AFTER you have saved the patch and come back to view the parameter. Other than that the seq is so much...

Without explicit permission from Moog, I would say no Ridiculous! Moog is giving it out freely and already stated that it is a beta and and can not be responsible for errors. as As someone who has owned over 45 synths in the past 35 years (counting doubles) i would say i can handle it. Not ridiculo...

ok 1.1 yeah that would make a big difference. i would love to get a beta copy but i messaged Amos a few days ago asking for a sysex string/info with no reply. BTW i figured out what it was based on the command someone else generously gave me to request all patches. i will send another message to Amo...

Re: Sub 37 - the best monosynth of all time?
I don't see how it is an apples an oranges comparison. they are both analog mono synths with paraphonic capabilities. breaking it down any further would be so specific that one could not compare any two synths. And the Sub 37 would be a clear winner IMO with just the addition of separating the modul...
