Hey all,
I'm currently an owner of an older 1974 Minimoog D (old oscillators board) that was working pretty much perfectly until recently. The problem is pretty simple; When I turn the unit on and play a note, that note continues to sound (indefinitely) even after I have released the key. If I play ...

cleaning minimoog D oscillator board edge contacts
hey all,
I was just wondering what people are using to clean the edge contacts on the oscillator boards on the Minimoog D?
They remind me a lot of old nintendo cartridges, specifically the way the edge contacts are formed and mate with the connector seem to be very similar-- I remember I used to ...

Re: Minimoog D with expression pedal controlling modulation
We have liftoff!!
It worked, and it is better than I expected! There is no noticeable modulation bleed, see several pictures here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29442732/IMG_1533.zip
After a few design iterations I was able to get everything up and running as planned, here's how it all went ...

Re: Minimoog D with expression pedal controlling modulation
Interesting thread... your theory is sound - on paper - however I think adding another pot "in series" would in fact create a larger resistance (larger than the half ohm maximum required) when both are in the "off" position which in turn will probably give you the unwanted mod-bleed mentioned ...

Re: Minimoog D with expression pedal controlling modulation
You're right. It's not as easy as one could think. Especially when you take into consideration that the Mod Wheel on a Minimoog doesn't work in the "conventional" manner. On most synths, the potentiometer controls the amount of modulation going into a circuit, on the Mini the modulation amount is ...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?
Hello Will,
t sounds just killer, especially with a single osc triangle wave. Geoffrey Keezer uses this sound alot. In fact one of the presets on the Voyager is named after him :) This is the only effect I use with the Mini though and it seems sufficient, but there are plenty of others one could ...

Minimoog D with expression pedal controlling modulation
Hey all,
As the title suggest, i'm trying to figure out a way to add an expression pedal to control the modulation of the Minimoog D, while also being able to control it with the actual wheel, and switch between the two in real time, and having their current values basically add together. (I.e ...

Minimoog D Pulse and Square waveform issues
Hey all,
I just noticed a (hopefully) small issue with my Minimoog D, SN 5775: The oscillator 1 Pulse and square waveforms are not producing any output (the rightmost 3 waveforms on the rotary switch).
All other waveforms on all oscillators work fine. I can't remember if it was like this or not ...

Minimoog D Keyboard Priority Switching mod?
Hi all! I'm new to the forum so this is my first post. I just recently acquired a Minimoog D in LA in quite good condition and everything works fine on it.
I've noticed that the keyboard note priority is set at low note. Is there a mod that changes it to simply last note priority? Maybe by modding ...
