Re: Patch for "From the Beginning"?
Judging by the date of your post w/o any replies, if you haven’t already gotten the info elsewhere, here are a few pointers to help you set your own patch. FTB uses two oscillators, set at triangle waves 2’ and 16’. Filter cutoff/regen/contour to taste, glide around 4. Envelope attack:0 sustain:10 r...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
512gb 12.9 iPad Pro 2nd Gen. Not technically a Moog but I run a number of Moog apps including the one in the pic below. This barely ran on my previous iPad mini 2 both in terms of user interface and performance. The 12.9 screen actually makes the knobs almost full size and the sound glitches are a t...

Re: Minimoog Switch discoloration
Yes, this was done on the video I saw of an Amiga 500 computer case and keyboard restored to perfect original condition.

Re: Minimoog Switch discoloration
By all means, go all out on those settings. Those initial settings I made are definitely made to be tweaked. One odd note, I tried using these settings on my iMini iPad app and got nowhere near the sound I got on the hardware. I figure the model Arturia used had a different response compared with mi...

Re: Minimoog Switch discoloration
Thanks Blackout. Those are very impressive results and are exactly what I was looking for -great work! I saw a video somewhere that restored old plastic computer cases that had similar uv related marring. This is what made me believe that it was possible to restore discoloration.

Re: Minimoog Switch discoloration
Glad you liked it. Here’s a similar alien noises one I did a few years ago with Animoog. This one sounds more effective thru headphones since there’s a lot of panning & stereo effects

Re: Model D Reissue Noise Level
Don’t know about the reissue but on my 1977, it’s (noise level) one of the three trim pots on the power supply board on the right edge of that board when facing from behind. The other two are the + and - 10v pots.

Minimoog Switch discoloration
Is there some kind of miracle cleaner that can bring back the original color to these switches? Much as I find the two tone look amusing, I’d still prefer the original color! On another note, I was noodling around the other day and stumbled onto this talkbox-like patch that has a cool human voice so...

Re: Minimoog year of manufacture
The only apparent things I see are initials,” C.J.” being the most prominent. No big deal, I guess. I’m satisfied that it works and of course has that wonderful Minimoog sound. This is actually my 2nd Mini- the first one was a ‘72 Model which I can’t even remember who I sold it to and when. Pretty f...

Re: Minimoog D OSC 2 problems
BC606B95-9251-4348-BAB8-93E4DC548406.jpeg Well, after 2 years, 3 months and 25 days, I have a fully functional Minimoog again. It turned out to be a bad CA3046 ic. One side benefit is that in the process, I cleaned, checked and tightened up everything that needed it before finally getting to the re...

Minimoog year of manufacture
I’m trying to determine the year my Minimoog was manufactured. Its serial # is 9127. I’ve seen a timeline that puts the last Minimoog made at the Williamsville factory at s/n 6920. My synth reads Williamsville NY which is strange unless it was assembled in the next factory with older existing parts....

I've found this to be the case as well. Looks like it's time to do some cleaning.
Thanks,

Re: Minimoog D OSC 2 problems
After reading of a similar problem from another owner, I thought I spend the 1.99 for a replacement 741 (ic4) and swap out the old one in the hope that this would work -which ended up not remedying the problem btw. Here is where it gets weird, though. After I replaced the board and started it up, I ...

Re: Minimoog D OSC 2 problems
Thanks for the info. The problem just happened 'overnight' as in one moment it was working perfectly and the next, what it's doing now.
