Re: Test point question
20 seconds is too long. Be careful... I'm still learning and this video helped me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z38WsZFmq8E. I'm not sure if the Werkstatt solder is lead free. If it is you probably need to go a bit higher on the temperature. Either way, I would suggest you practice removal on som...

Re: Using Wekstatt with Arturia Beatstep
Although I have not used a beatstep with the Werkstatt, I have used quite a bit of different devices (including the Minibrute, which I would imagine the Beatstep CV circuits are based on) to hit the gate and have not had any issues/hicups when sending the gate through a buffer first and routed as a...

Re: Using Wekstatt with Arturia Beatstep
Hey guys. I just want to be clear as am planning to buy the beatstep. Are you saying that the internal envelope on the werkstatt won't work when it is being sequenced by the beatstep? Or is this thread all about controlling the werkstatt envelope via beatstep? When I use the Kenton pro solo to cont...

Re: Sequencing Werkstatt Fitted w/CV Expander
Well I've got good news and bad news... First the Werkstatt gate out does function as a gate in. I sucessfuly opened it with voltages from 1.25 to 5 volts. This was direct from a power supply capable of 1 amp of current. I did use that Zener diode circuit I referenced to tame the Beatstep's near 8 v...

Re: Sequencing Werkstatt Fitted w/CV Expander
That is exactly how I was going to hook my Beatstep and Werkstatt together. However, I want to make sure I don't overload the Werkstatt. The Beatstep puts out an 8 volt gate signal. The Werkstatt is expecting 5 volts max. Also, the CV out of the Beatstep is 0-7 volts. Again the Werkstatt is looking ...
