Hi,
Is there anywhere I can find a simple list of the names of the Sub 37's presets? The User Manual doesn't have this.
Thx!

Re: is the sub 37 right for me?
But if you're a normal person, with limited funds, I'd say go for something old, second-hand first. There are some amazing synths out there that can be had on the 2nd hand market. I recently bought a Yamaha AN1X for 1/5th the price of a Sub 37. *BOTH* are fantastic.

[Sub 37] Possible sources of repeating modulation
Hi,
We're all familiar with the LFO as source of (low frequency repeating) modulation for a sound, but what else can be used?
* Envelope looping
* Oscillator Frequency and Beat Freq
* Arpeggiator rate
* Sequencer
Are there any others?

Re: Anything edible (to insects) inside Sub 37?
I'm afraid this post is gonna get a bit more creepy.. this morning I discovered that a whole corner of my room is crawling with them.. and, after half an hour of searching, discovered the source to be a dead pigeon chick in a nest in a climbing plant which adorns the front of our house. You gotta lo...

Re: Solar Phatty Looking for the right Owner
I think we should form a secret club to exchange experiences of partners pressuring us to do this or that in relation to our synth passion, maybe even exchange tips on how to neutralise such pressure ;-) I've got my man (synth) cave, and still I'm not free to do what I want in here ("I hate tho...

Anything edible (to insects) inside Sub 37?
Tonight I saw a minuscule critter walk across the LCD, and then another.. and when I looked more closely at that part of the synth, I saw several other almost-microscopic animals crawling over my synth. About 1/4-1/3 of a mm. About a dozen in total. Not sure what's going on. None of my other gear se...

Re: Dedicated Forum for Sub 37 ?
Personally, I would just prefer one forum for the Sub 37, simply so that there's less noise from topics other than the Sub 37. But that's just a personal desire, guess the board maintainer prefers it the way it is.. no big deal.

Dedicated Forum for Sub 37 ?
Am I alone in thinking that it would be nice to have a forum category dedicated to the Sub 37 (Phatty owners, no offence, but..) ?
Thx for feedback/votes.

Re: Good patch learning sources (Sub 37)
Not long ago (few months) I browsed Amazon to look for books that do exactly that (so no video, but text and diagrams, screenshots), and I did come across a title that claims to offer that knowledge. From what I remember - I didn't buy it - it makes fairly synth-neutral assumptions, like your animal...

Re: sub37 Editor/Librarian How long also needs to be able to
This is definitely taking a very, very long time. We've all paid the full price for this machine, but we're still lacking anything to deal with our patches on a PC/Mac. Come on Moog, surely we can have a preview of some of the windows? Surely?

Re: Sub37 with Doepfer Dark Time / midi clock issue
I think you should be able to set the Sub 37 IN CHANNEL to something else than what your DT is sending on.... that should silence the notes, while the clock (which is not a channel message) should still arrive OK.

Re: Slaving a Beat Thang to a Sub 37
Using the BT as a master doesn't give me the real-time convenience of a tempo knob, as present on the Sub 37. The BT doesn't have a dedicated tempo knob, which is a real shame. But the argument of switching presets on the Sub, which does change tempo, may indeed force me to start using the BT as mas...

Slaving a Beat Thang to a Sub 37
Hi, I have: 1 Sub 37 and one Beat Thang (drum computer). I'd like the Beat Thang to use the master MIDI Clock the Sub 37 sends out.. but other than that, I don't want the Beat Thang to need to hear the Arp/Seq start/stop message. I want to manually control the start/stop on the Beat Thang, and just ...
