Re: Voyager Rear Ports Questions!

The main reason I was wondering is because I heard about how some moog ports when nothing is pluged in gets supplied a constant +5 volts which would mean I need to wire certain 6 pin switching TRS jacks for the greater functionaly. But that may just be on the Moogerfooger pedals. Also note that fro...

Re: Voyager Rear Ports Questions!

I'm not with my voyager right now but believe that what you really need to know is how the shunts are used for each ports. For example, if you look at page 19 of the manual, about the mix-out loop, you will see that the mixer out is shunted to the input of the filter (the black arrow on the diagram)...

Re: A fully analog sequencer from Moog - that's what I want.

Humm, what about having a look at the Elektron analog four? This thing is pretty cool as a synth by iteself, athough produce sounds that are totally different from the Voyager. Maybe a good thing somehow as this could add some punch. It's a lot of fun to experiment with too. Well, anyways, the thing...

Re: Random SIlent Presets

The important thing is to try and find out asap if this is just an unusual software glitch that can be resolved easily (as with your suggestions) or if it's a common fault that suggests something more serious with the motherboard or similar. This is definitively not a common fault. The only common ...

Re: Random SIlent Presets

Since you updated the OS I would suggest to first make sure that the "boot" and "system" numbers are the same. You will find this in the MASTER -> "software version" menu. Note that the Moog instruction are correct. Here is a discussion with more about this: http://foru...

Re: Voyager OS 3.5 upload sequence

It is also important to increase the size and number of buffers in MIDI-OX. The notes says: "The files are around 37KB in size. In Midiox make sure your SysEx output buffer size and number exceeds the size of these files." Setting the size to 1024 bytes and the number to 64 did work for me...

Re: Voyager OS 3.5 upload sequence

I have the need to reload OS3.5 in my Voyager, but reading the notes from the Moog site I am a bit confused with the right sequence to load/send the banks. To me the sequence seems B - A - C. Voyager asks at the end of each bank to re-load D. Is that correct? If you downloaded the OS from the Moog ...

the alien 666 (and all) While I'm absolutely not related to Moog business I do design and manufacture electronic devices for a living, although in small scale production. Let me first say that I don't know about ANY other musical instrument manufacturer who extended it's warranty well beyond the end...

Re: So the Voyager can only play one note at a time ....

Hummm, or just buy more voyagers, use the "midi key order" setting to have all of them play as a single polyphonic in$$$trument!
Anyone tried that?

* * * * * * * POLL * * * * * * * How many of you guys would want it if it would cost around $250 USD, brand new ? I'm asking because I believe I could manufacture something quite like this. I'm thinking of about 20 inches (500 mm) long. 1 CV output for position AND 1 for pressure Do you (really) ne...

Re: Moogerfoogers at higher voltages

Well, my previous post was for another topic but is actually related to this discussion. (Call me lucky  ) The fact is that all the moogerfoogers have an internal voltage regulator. Supplying more than say 9 to 12 Vdc should not change anything at all because of that. This will just make th...

You may also whis to read the FAQ about that on the Moog website:
