Re: Filter/Buffer on GK ouptut improvement?
The filter makes a huge improvement for midi tracking and for COSM modeling. Well worth the investment.

Re: No Piezo output unless plugged into GK device
Update: This was an issue with the Ghost pickup that was installed for the midi upgrade. James at Moog replaced the Ghost pickup and all is working great now.

No Piezo output unless plugged into GK device
Discovered a problem yesterday with my GK-upgraded (MIDI) Moog guitar that I hadnt come across previously because I havent used the piezo sound until recently. The piezo pickups do not put out any signal when selected/blended unless a GK cable is plugged in to the guitar and plugged in to a GK devic...

Re: Filter/Buffer on GK ouptut improvement?
Glad to hear it. I'm waiting for a customized version of the filter that I requested from Robert. Should be a couple of more weeks... Cant wait to give it a try. I'll post my findings here.

Filter/Buffer on GK ouptut improvement?
Hi all E1-M users, Wondering if anyone has seen a marked improvement routing the GK output through a filter/buffer into the VG-99 or GR-55. Re: Midi Upgrade question
Thanks for the string info, Croyote, sorry I didnt see this post earlier. I tried ghs Stainless Steel Precision Flatwound and they do not cause interference. Of course, the tone is much more subdued as expected. I have another issue but it deserves a new thread methinks.
Cheers

Re: Midi Upgrade question
Thanks, cliffman, for your response. Thats what I assumed and found out yesterday when I picked up my guitar from Moog. Long story as to why I was confused about that. Now to search the forum for information on flatwounds that work. I've tried some that cause interference when VO power is turned up ...

Midi Upgrade question
Hi All EM-1 MIDI users, Just got a Moog Guitar and have taken it to Moog for the Midi Upgrade. There is some confusion on one of the issues. Does that upgrade include a mixed ouput in addition to the signal for each individual string. Roland GK pickups have a switch between the hexaphonic pickups fo...
