Parameter value display and single shot LFO option -- these two will make Sub37 a perfect synth for me.

Re: Moog, what's next to develop for the Sub37?...
Changing parameter value display and single cycle LFO option are at the top of the list for me.

I have never used envelope delay, however hold is essential for those punchy sequencer lines and certain bass sounds.Mike37 wrote:I can't really see a purpose for the added envelope stages, delay and hold ...

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
I've tried to update my Sub37 with 1.1.0 firmware updater for Windows and it did not see the MIDI ports. Rebooting the PC and power cycling Sub37 did not help. Tried different Windows PC, same result. Strangely enough "Moog Sub37" MIDI port was listed, but the software did not see it. Swit...

Yeah, my Sub37 acts the same way -- to fully open the filter I need to add some keyboard tracking, or filter EG.

Re: SUB37 Firmware Update Problems (brick)
The key trick is to re-open MIDI ports in whatever tool you're using after each firmware sysex sent. This is necessary because Sub37 is reset during firmware update and USB port connection gets severed, and needs to be reestablished.

Re: Sub37 Preset Best Practices
I fill up banks starting from bank 16 backwards... each bank holds patches of a certain type (leads, basses, seq, arps, drone, etc), patch 16 and 15 are starting patches for a bank (for example, saw bass and pwm bass). Bank 10 is a scratch pad bank that holds all sorts of different uncategorized pat...

Re: Sub37 MIDI issues
Hooked my Sub37 (1.0.13) to Kurzweil Micropiano, played it a bit, left it switched on for the night, played it again, tried all knobs -- everything works as expected, don't see the nasty thing you describe. I'd try changing MIDI cable and swapping power outlets.

Re: Slim Phatty and Korg SQ1 via CV different tuning
Slim Phatty Pitch CV is not 1V/Oct ... mine was more like 1.2V/Oct, friend's 1.1V/Oct.
Your best chance with SP is to use MIDI for note pitch, just like Marcie609 recommended.

The Downloads section at moogmusic.com has version 3.21 of Slim Phatty firmware in various incarnations. All the zip files seem to contain .hex files.7of9 wrote:Reading through the tread i see that it need to be done with a hex file from moogmusic, which they don't give out.

Re: Sub 37 through effect: volume loss
Good guitar pedals can accommodate both types of signals -- I'm using TCE Flashback delay and TC Hall of Fame reverb with Sub37 and a bunch of other analogue synths and they all work perfectly. There is a good reason for that: guitar pedals are typically chained, and output of a guitar pedal is a lo...

Re: Sub 37 Internal Clock Instability?
My Sub37 with 1.0.7 firmware clock stability floats between 3 and 4%, and jumps up to 6-7% when FILTER CUTOFF knob is operated. Most hardware devices I tested have clock stability better than 1%. I'm happy to report that Sub37 firmware gods showed their will and sent me an updated firmware v1.0.11 ...

Re: Sub 37 Internal Clock Instability?
My Sub37 has very unstable clock and it gets even worse when panel controls are used, with FILTER CUTOFF knob having the maximum effect. I have a microprocessor based tool built around ATMega328 MCU with MIDI IN circuitry and 2 x 7 segment LEDs that measures incoming MIDI clock accuracy and stabilit...

Re: Sub 37: Ignore play/stop possible?
Many sequencers and drum machines send clock while being stopped: this allows other devices down the chain to measure the incoming clock frequency and generate their internal clock which may have higher frequency than 24PPQN MIDI Clock standard. Starting/stopping sequencer/arp in response to incomin...
