MP-201 case?
What's everyone doing for a case for the MP-201? Mine is not on a pedal board.

Re: Minimoog Model D: CV control options?
My next step will be making my Model D even more modular with either a FreqBox or Ring Modulator! My humble suggestion is to get the Ring Modulator first, then a FreqBox. Then a second Ring Modulator! Stephen . I just got the Ring Modulator today, used for a fair price. It's a lot more musical than...

Re: Minimoog Model D: CV control options?
I'm loving the MP-201, I finally received it yesterday. The model D responds really well to it, and that's just messing around with filter sweeps and the additional LFOs. With a guitar in the external input and sending a random LFO to the filter CV, I recreated The Who's Relay instantly. I can't wai...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
Just start simple. Set the VCA-Env on the Mini with some decay to slightly above mid-level sustain. Then turn up Env-Amount on the Freqbox, so basically the frequency of the FB's oscillator will now follow the shape of your Mini's VCA-Envelope. Switch on sync and adjust the frequency knob on the FB...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
I own three Freqboxes for all kinds of use and it can be quite rewarding when put behind any synth. As you won't be able to do the clearer classic slow sweep sync sounds, a lot can be achieved with the envelope follower and thus the VCA envelope of the Mini to control the frequency of the Freqbox' ...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
The Minimoog D can already do some FM with Osc 3 in the audio range modulating the pitch. But I don't think Hard Sync and PWM will be possible by external means. Hard Sync is a popular and relatively simple modification done on Minis. But I've never heard anyone doing a PWM mod on it, as it might r...

Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
I posted a similar topic in the Moogerfooger forum, but no responses... After working with GForce's Oddity2 (virtual ARP Odyssey), I was wondering if I could add features like FM, sync, and PWM to my vintage Minimoog with the FreqBox. My inexperience with both CV and modular signal flow tells me thi...

Adding Odyssey features to Minimoog D via Moogerfoogers?
I've been enjoying working with GForce's ARP Odyssey plugin, and was thinking about adding the Odyssey's additional features - S&H, FM, PWM, sync, and ring modulation - to my vintage Minimoog Model D with Moogerfoogers. I've got an MP-201 Multi Pedal on the way, so that covers S&H and all th...

Re: Minimoog Model D: CV control options?
You can do note on/off with the mp-201, with the mini's s-trig input. You have to get a special cinch jones connector (although it wouldn't be that difficult to macgyver one if you are crafty) and make a simple gate to s-trig circuit, which requires soldering and a few easy to get parts. i found th...

Re: Minimoog Model D: CV control options?
Thanks everybody. You've given me things to explore and research. I did manage to snag an MP-201 at your urging - it's on its way. The MIDI sync and real time performance controls look like a must for the model D, and I'm hoping it solves some issues I've been wanting to take care of with controllin...

Minimoog Model D: CV control options?
I recently had my Model D refurbished and had the non-MIDI Opto-Key installed. I also got my first Mac and have been familiarizing myself with Logic Pro X. I have an Apogee Quartet interface, and an old MOTU UltrLite v1. I am a live player and haven't done much analog or digital sequencing. I have t...

Re: Good news for Minimoog D owners.
Hi all, this is my first post. Just wanted to put in a good word for Chris Hewitt at This Old Synth. I recently got my model D back from him, and his work is top notch and reasonably priced. He installed the non-MIDI Opto-Key, did new bushings, caps, power supply, and replaced some components on the...
