midi programming
Is the Voyager XL front panel midi programmable to allow it to act as a controller? I am trying to use it as a controller for a Modal 002r, but the midi controls are not matching up for filter and envelope functions. They are close, but still off. For example, decay knob will effect sustain. If it ...

sequencing voyager with sub 37
If I want to create, modulate and play eveything on the Voyager XL and its keyboard, but use the SUB 37 sequencer to process the result, what is the best connection between the two units? Or is it even possible? I'm having trouble getting the desired result.

Re: The "mix out/filter in" jack on an XL
ahhh. That explains it. I didn't know what an "insert cable" is. The diagram in the manual makes a lot more sense now too. Thanks. So, to take this one step further, though, I assume that if I have three Foogers linked together, I would just put one of the insert cable's TS plugs to the input of ...

The "mix out/filter in" jack on an XL
I don't quite understand the Voyager XL user manual explanation of this function. With a single cable plugged into that jack, you can take the mix out of the XL, send it to a Moogerfooger, for example, and have the resulting effects mix sent back to the XL to complete its journey through the filter ...

joystick controller
Does anybody have recommendations for a really good joystick controller for a Voyager XL? I have seen "Cat Stick" discussed, but that seems a bit too rare and expensive (unless somebody tells me its worth it). A related question - is there really any point to a joystick in light of everything else ...

voyager XL plus sub37 equals what?
I have a Sub37. I crave a Voyager XL. I envision that the two together could be a real powerhouse. I envision using the much better and bigger XL keyboard as the master keyboard. I envision the patch capability and slide toys on the XL adding a new dimension to my Sub 37 enjoyment. I envision the ...

Re: CV out and Freqbox oscillator
So are you suggesting that via the Sub 37 midi output, the pedal can make some sort of conversion and supply the equivalent function as CV outputs for a sub 37? Such that if you route synth to pedal to Freqbox you have a 3rd oscillator? Also, for your #2 and #3 Freqbox uses, does #2 provide any less ...

CV out and Freqbox oscillator
As a newbie, I don't fully understand the world of CV out, especially since my sub 37 doesn't have it. I have seen discussions of using a Freqbox as a third oscillator via CV out, but not for a Sub 37. If you ran the audio out from a Sub 37 through the Freqbox, though, it seems like you still would ...

super delay power off
So here is a silly question - just hooked up a new Moogerfogger Super Delay. Seems to be no power switch. So....unplug when not using or leave on all the time? Or maybe there is a hidden power switch that I can't find? Seems really odd to me, but then I'm just a newbie.

Daisy chained voyagers
I have a new one and love it. Since more is always better, I am wondering if I need another one. So what overall effects result from daisy chaining them (one regular and the other RME) together? Aside from 2 note polyphony, I have a hard time envisioning the potential results and whether they would ...

Re: Yamaha motif xs sound module into sub 37
Hi slick,
welcome to the fascinating world of monophonic analog synthesizers. :D
You can also connect the Motif MIDI-out with the Sub37 MIDI-in and play on the Motif-keyboard. BUT, you don“t have to forget, that the Sub37 is an monophonic synth with just one voice. So if you play for example a 3 ...

Re: Yamaha motif xs sound module into sub 37
The more I think about this from a workflow perspective, it seems that for this to work, I also would have to connect midi out from the sub 37 to midi in on the motif. The sub 37 then would be the keyboard for the motif, and the motif would generate the sound which then would be audio out from the ...

Yamaha motif xs sound module into sub 37
Any reason why this would not work to in effect multiply the available presets by hundreds? Mono out from the motif to line level audio in on sub 37? It seems like that combination would function as if the motif is part of the s37's on board factory presets and that this would be a killer ...
