Re: Sub 37 failing

Welcome to the club WolframSlides. The Sub 37 is filled with low quality parts that will break now and then. The things you can do is: - send it in for service - ask Moog to send new parts and replace them yourself Then be prepared for the next failure (because it ain't gonna stop) I've personally h...

All the hardware faults I've had so far with my Sub 37

1. At delivery: - Faulty pitchwheel - Faulty headphone jack I got new parts, replaced the entire pitch/mod-wheel unit and the right hand controller board, which fixed those problems. 2. Then after a while, the octave knob for Osc1 stopped working. Since I also was disappointed with the keyboard feel...

Re: Fail after Sub 37 to Subsequent 37 upgrade!

Hello Marcus, I made a mistake. The firmware I was talking about is the Subsequent 37 CV firmware update. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Ok cool I suspected that. My problems were resolved after reinstalling factory patches and firmware 1.2 for Subsequent 37. I suspect my own patches stored for Su...

What version nr is this? I can only find v1.2 on the website, and I still have problems with INIT-patch and PANEL-mode since upgrading to Subsequent.

thanks

Re: Fail after Sub 37 to Subsequent 37 upgrade!

the best surprise comes out when I tried to initialize the sound holding the panel/init button. All lights went on, the awry display showed black box instead of the "Init Preset" label, and the synth did not send out any audio signal even turning off everything and starting manually a rea...

Re: Sub 37 upgrade legit or troll?

I can't help thinking it's kind of sad that an instrument of this caliber/pricerange had such shitty keys to begin with..
Well well, time to reach for the wallet again I guess

Re: Sub 37 upgrade legit or troll?

Key-bed update seems tempting! Not much fun to solo on with original keys..

Key-bed Only Update: $159 + shipping
Installs the Subsequent 37's upgraded Key-bed for improved playability and swift action. User pays shipping one-way, Moog covers the return shipping.[/quote]

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output

Same problem for my Sub37 (received in August 2014): since 3 months I had random moments when the headphones output would have a low level and sometimes very violent crackling noises. More recently it sometimes even stopped working for several minutes. Even if I mostly use the line output, I took a...

Re: Sub 37 Editor v1.0.0 & Firmware v1.2.0 is now available

2. Disconnect USB cable from Sub 37 ... 4. Windows and OS X: - Run Firmware Updater 1.2.0 - Turn Sub 37 on , it should tell that it finds the Sub 37 - Turn Cutoff and Fine Tune knobs fully counterclockwise - Raise the pitch wheel all way up, and while holding it turn the synth on - Firmware updater...

Re: Sub37 PITCH AMT pot range

I think you misunderstood. It's the way this was constructed in the first place that's not elegant. But really... going into a menu, changing some weird controller value to make the pitch-amt knob at all usable. You are not to blame for this of course. However that INIT PRESET thing sounds promising...

Re: Sub37 PITCH AMT pot range

Hi, Happy owner of a Sub 37 for a few months. I'm still exploring it's sound capabilities and enjoying with the many sweet spots of this synth. In the last days I was programming a sound to which I wanted to add a subtle vibrato effect. I found myself trying to do tiny adjustments with the PITCH AM...

Re: Sub37 PITCH AMT pot range

One trick I use a lot is setting CNTRL4 AMT to +50% , and CTRL4 SRC to BREATH (CC#2). If you need even finer precision, try a CNTRL4 AMT of +90% . Now, the PITCH AMT , FILTER AMT , and MOD AMT knobs can only make subtle and very delicate modulations. Yes, this is a workaround, but it's hardly elega...

Sub37 - Have you had this much trouble with other synths?

These are some of the problems I've had so far: - Distorted headphone output (like crazy-broken-distorted) (REPLACEMENT PART RECEIVED) - Pitch goes nuts sometimes when playing with the pitchwheel (then you have to nudge the pitchwheel a few times to get it back in tune). It also drifts randomly some...
