Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

Does anyone feel that the new filter metal pot somehow alters the sound a bit, compared to the plastic one? I don't know if that's possible at all and I'm probably imagining this, but the plastic one sounded a bit fatter to me...
Has anyone also got this feeling?

Re: Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

Hi, it could have gone to your spam box because of the link I've included, sorry if that's the case. I'm not using the Hi-Z input nor a DI box, just the rear combo jack. I already got in touch with the UK distributor and we'll hopefully sort it out pretty soon.
Thanks

Re: Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

I got no reply from Moog, messaged them like 10 times probably in the last week. I've got no other option but to return it... thank god I still got 1 month warranty left. this is the second sub 37 that I'm sending back. I feel like buying the 3 years extended warranty option is a necessity for this ...

Re: Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

If I can have your front panel settings or a patch sysex I'll try and see if I can recreate it.. it might be patch dependent R. I'm sure it's not patch dependent because I get that noise on each patch that has been saved or it is in the making.. and the weird thing is I've never noticed it before. ...

Re: Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

Thanks for you answer, and yes, I'm recording directly from Sub 37 to the UAD Apollo Twin.

Since there's no clipping, I've no idea where that noise comes from..

Does anyone from Moog knows what's happening?

Re: Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

Anyone, please? I'm seriously considering repairing my Sub 37 while it is still in warranty, if that would be the case.

Sub 37 Multidrive Problem

Hi guys, I've done two recordings of the issue that I'm having with the Multidrive knob. Just to explain what's happening - when I twist the Multridrive either physically or automate it by MIDI, I get that noise which I'm not sure if should be there and I'm a little bit annoyed with it. Listen caref...

Secrets of the Sub 37 seminar - Video

Hi guys, as mentioned in other post: Passing by The Moog Store the other day, their event chalkboard mentioned a Secrets of the Sub37 seminar coming up. I'm going to try to attend this event in person, but my schedule is not very open these days. Maybe just maybe, Moog could video this seminar (and ...

I'm using the Mic/Line inputs at the back. I'm not sure if I can use the HiZ input for a synth..? Do I need a DI box in order to do so? And do I need an Active or a Passive DI box?

Re: Moog Sub 37 noise floor

Mine is Apollo Twin actually, that's why I'm using the Thunderbolt :)
I'm using the Mic/Line input and yes the same outlet as I don't have the option to use a different one, that explains the 60Hz hum..
but anyways, have you got that noise at 5-20kHz from your Apollo?

Has anyone else got it?

Re: Moog Sub 37 noise floor

my signal path is as follows: Sub 37 goes directly to through an 1/4" balanced jack cable to Universal Audio Apollo then it goes to a Mac through a Thunderbolt cable. the Sub 37 is also connected to the Mac through an USB cable. I've already tried different jack cables, different USB cables. It...

Re: Moog Sub 37 noise floor

Tell me guys, do you have your USB cables plugged in when this is happening? If so unplug and retest. This is a common trait on any modern USB synth as you pick up RF noise via USB from the computer. You can buy a cheap isolater that sits on the cable to stop this. I had USB noise and noticed it in...

Moog Sub 37 noise floor

Hi guys, I've recently noticed that I've got a little bit of noise coming out from my Sub 37 from just being turned on. Is not a huge problem on its own, but when I have like 10 recordings done in the same project (even 3 or 4), the noise becomes obvious and annoying. And on all of my productions I ...
