Re: Moog Mother-32

Life has taught me to not really get into all the fervor until I see it being released, and, a proper demo. I am a long-time fan of other Synth Co.'s, and will use Waldorf as an example, and no chagrin towards Waldorf, but experience has taught me to refer to *anything* as 'vaporware' until tangible...

Re: Sub37 to Sub37 poly chain

I really do recall Amos stating after the work on the forthcoming editor, which was in line with this last massive update, they would be doing a Sub Phatty update that included poly chain for it, with other updates. Small company, with large demand for this wonderful instrument (Sub 37), and whateve...

Re: Sub 37 Cookbook?

I almost always have problems with Yahoo Groups and reason I always avoid them, even though there's some rather great groups on there. In order to register with Yahoo they require phone numbers and I am just not willing to hand over my privacy to Yahoo. Surprised they are even still around. Would lo...

Re: Which stereo effects unit?

I often change things up for different ambient atmospheric soundscapes but my Eventide Space pretty much is dedicated to Sub 37 but I also have on one of my rack mixers a return/send set-up with a T.C. Electronics M300 or a Lexicon MPX110 for those phasers and such. Also have a Hardwire Delay Pedal ...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I highly suggest everyone extend your warranty to have that extra 3 years of Moog Goodness backing your future, early serial or later. I just did and for $159. for three years additional is phenomenal and I do not usually buy that many warranties due to so many things built to fail, but it will giv...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I am a "gentle user" I guess. I am actually retired from a military job where we used encoders of all kinds all the time and we were taught from the start to respect the axis of any encoder/knob/slider, for reliability and hopefully, lifetime operation. Have never had any knob fail on my m...

Re: Sub 37 1.1 Paper Manual

I placed the downloaded PDF 1.1 new Sub 37 User Manual onto a flash drive, took it to my local UPS Store and had it printed on both sides, bound nicely, for around $20. w/tax USD. Done this with other instrument manuals as well in past and makes them very utilitarian and durable. I would not expect ...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability

I agree that the key action is on the stiff side but I prefer it that way. I'd much rather play a keyboard that has some feel behind it rather than one of the many out there today where the keys just flap in the breeze. Totally agree! I really like the keyboard action on my Sub 37. Much rather have...

Re: WTF? is shipping a warranty'd synth such a secret?

It's all about proper communication. I entirely agree that people are losing their ability to communicate 'properly', as if due to technology it's a case of "Atrophy" or something like our organ, the Appendix. The difference is people should speak to others and a company via a forum with '...

Re: Best speaker for sub 37

Last year I upgraded my studio powered monitors to a pair of JBL LSR308's prior to arrival of my Sub 37 July, 2014 and must say you get a really fine monitor well-within your stated budget and they are not exaggerated bass or anything else, they simply just sound great, clear at all volume levels a...

Re: Is Sub37 and Minitaur Moog overkill?

Can never have too much Moog. Since the Sub 37 has such a larger range than the Minitaur, you still can use both very effectively for interesting textural layers.
My real question is do I now want to a second Sub 37? Call me crazy but 'Adam' needs an 'Eve' :D

Re: Best reverb unit for my Sub 37?

I have a few rack fx units I will have on rack mixer's sends/returns: Lexicon MPX110, and TC Electronic 3xx. I recently decided to get an Eventide Space because like the rack units, they all can also be used creatively with their midi implementations, and dual mono or stereo inputs/outs...it sounds ...
