Re: Sub 37 - the best monosynth of all time?
I think it's close. Yet, I'd still miss OSC-FM and Filter-FM, because that's what I love most on my VOS...

Re: Post your Old School serial number!
I remember vividly all the hype about the limited run for the Old School version. Get yours before they run out, only 500 will be produced, guaranteed to increase in value with time, a collectible item, and all that marketing crap. I usually buy a synth because I want to enjoy making music with it,...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
The Freqbox was intended to give guitar players the classic sync sound. When you watch the demo below you can get an idea how it sounds, with one important difference: it will sound much more stable with a synthesizer. Also the guitar provides the Env-Follower on the Freqbox with loads of dynamics t...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
I suppose the sync could be useful if I keep the range of a melody simple, and tweak in real time with the MP-201? Not the tracking I'd get with CV out, but something manageable? Just start simple. Set the VCA-Env on the Mini with some decay to slightly above mid-level sustain. Then turn up Env-Amo...

Re: Minimoog D with FreqBox: results?
I own three Freqboxes for all kinds of use and it can be quite rewarding when put behind any synth. As you won't be able to do the clearer classic slow sweep sync sounds, a lot can be achieved with the envelope follower and thus the VCA envelope of the Mini to control the frequency of the Freqbox' O...

Re: Voyager/Old School: your best of all time?
For those of you that have Voyager's and even more to the point, Old School owners, do you find your VOS your fav, desert island, best thing you ever owned if not most often played keyboard? Yes. From the very first moment I got it, I knew it was a keeper. No other synth in my collection has that s...

Re: SubPhatty - standalone midi keyboard?
Local On/Off might be what you're looking for. But if you want to still use the knobs and MW etc to control the Sub Phatty itself it might become a bit tricky and you'd need to set up some MIDI-Filter rules with some separate software. Also have a look at this thread where some issues with USB-MIDI ...
