Using Minimoog Reissue D to control NS2 via Midi?

Hi guys, Lucky owner of one of these brand new Minimoogs D reissue! I have recently been into playing the Nord Stage 2's Hohner Clavinet D6 emulation. However the action on my NS2 is HA76 (similar to piano action), which makes more challenging for organ/clav licks. Do you think I could turn on the N...

Little Phatty vs Minimoog D reissue

Hi guys, I enjoy using my Little Phatty (older, Midi but no USB version) in my compositions, mixing guitars/bass/Rhodes/organ/etc (i.e. I am not into experimental, synth-only/focused music). I get a good variety of sounds.. Any advice/perspective as I am considering the Minimoog D coming out? Does t...

Re: Impact of new model D on pricing of vintage Minimoog D

Nice feedback guys I'd say that price should not be impacted: The vintage piece will still remain way more inspiring than a new piece of gear. As applied to guitars, we have seen Fender/Gibson reissues filling a gap in the market but people, including myself, still thrive to collect older instrument...

Impact of new model D on pricing of vintage Minimoog D

Hi guys, Curious to know what the gear heads are thinking of the production of new Minimoog model D. More specifically around 2 questions: - Directionally, what do you think will be the impact on the vintage offering's price (i.e. 70's Minimoog)? I.e. cause a resurgence of interest for them and rais...

Midi-to-cv interface required for Midimoog?

Hi, Quick question: - Is a midi-to-cv interface required to connect a Midimoog (Studio Electronics) to a Dave Smith Prophet 6? I'd like to use the DS keyboard/wheel to play the Midimoog... - Is a midi-to-cv interface required to connect a Midimoog (Studio Electronics) to a Doepfer Dark Time sequence...

Using Doepfer DrkTime sequencer w/ 2 synths simultaneously?

Hi, Just got my Doepfer Dark Time sequencer and it is very cool (Ordered then returned an AS Oberkorn, Dark Time provides great analog feel compared to the AS). Quick question: Can I use the Doepfer sequencer to simultaneously run 2 different sequences for 2 different synths (in this case, one is a ...

Re: Sustain pedal

Hi guys,

Back to application on the Sub 37:

How/where can I select Normal mode vs Sustain mode? I have plugged a pedal onto the Gate CV, but am not sure how to adjust the right setting to get the pedal to act as a sustain pedal..

Thanks !

Sustain pedal

Hi, As part of the Phatty Firmware Update OS v3.1, Amos mentioned the ability to utilize a pedal to leverage a sustain function. In his own words: "Sustain/Hold Mode: A sustain pedal or control voltage plugged into the CV GATE input jack can now be used to send MIDI Sustain on/off, and to polyp...

Replicating this F-A-T sound on Sub 37..

Hi guys, Just found these videos with a super-smooth, super-fat and (most importantly) super-useable sound from a MiniMoog. I am still getting around replicating sounds on Sub 37 and was curious to know what settings would you guys recommend to replicate this sound. The more specific the details the...

Lag between between sequenced loops

Hi, Probably an easy solution to my problem: When I create a sequence (say A-B-C-D) and I make it play, I get: A-B-C-D- a little bit of time -A-B-C-D- a little bit of time -A-B-C-D.... Instead, I would like the sequence to play A-B-C-D-A-B-C-D-A-..., what I am missing? Methodology used: - Bring the ...

Re: Deconstructing Snarky Puppy' Little Phatty bass sound

Thanks @Egg Super useful. I will try that and get back to you. You seem to be very at easy with the unit and being new to Moog, I am impressed. Any resource/methodology you recommend I use to get my head around the Sub 37 better? (website, book, videos).. I find that some sounds are inspiring, but I...

Library of other Sub 37 owners' patches anywhere?

Hi guys, Any user library where one could find users' patches? Any un-official website that goes over the specific settings of non-Moog-preset sounds? As I am trying to include the Sub 37 in my own writing (jazz/fusion/soul) along with my other instruments (guitar/bass/drums/Rhodes), I am interested...
