Re: Patches in Forum

I guess the whole reason being people like Moogs so much is that they're very straightforward. I honestly never use presets in my Little Phatty. I guess I would use stored presets live in certain circumstances but it's jut a lot more fun to tweak things around and not give a damn, at least in the mu...

Re: Paint of my Little Phatty Stage Edition

Nice job. Good to know this is possible if I'm ever to damage the front panel of my most prized synthesizer. :)

I have recently released this EP thingy. It's some minimalist dark ambient / noise drone / thingy. Moog wise, a lot of the droning is made using Filtatron's oscillator on an iPad which sounds surprisingly good. Also a bit of Little Phatty in there. Enjoy, it's a free download ;)

That doesn't mean it doesn't work on synthesizers and at a nice price point.

I recommended a couple guitar / bass pedal compressors a couple messages ago that I've had the chance to test out on synthesizer and the results are far from ridiculous.

Re: Mooging—How do you Moog?

With Moog Apps, the touch surface paradigm is not really that important. What's nice is that it makes some kind of a Moog sound affordable, portable and maybe the digital aspects gives you a lot of sonic possibilities but still with a lot of character. I mean it's an app, but a Moog app.

Seconded. My personal favorite is the Little Phatty. I believe a lot of newcomers to the synth world find it easy to understand and program due to it's very clear and well thought of interface.

Re: Rack compressor for synth?

Focusrite stuff is great at a moderate price. You might also want to look down the pedal route if you plan to use any other pedal. Aforementioned Dyna Comp is a classic but something a bit more high end might suit you better (Diamond Compressor, Effectrode PC2A, Walrus Deep Six...).
