Can anyone tell me why my Sub Phatty LFO does this?

Only when it receives MIDI. Tried a variety of different DAW's and clock sources. The Moog receives MIDI to the LFO to control the tempo, and it seems to drift/reset itself. Really my only frustration with the Sub Phatty. In this video, it's receiving MIDI from Reaper with a USB cable (same thing ha...

Re: Sub Phatty - Arpeggiator in Update?

An arp would be cool, but I think an option to turn the preset panel into an 8-step sequencer would be killer. I imagine that could be possible through the software, and maybe even making it one of the "under the hood" functions. If that happened, I'd have midi sync'd sequences AND lfo, co...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor Won't Remember Presets

There should be an export button to click right near the send button. I've used this to create a folder on my desktop with my Sub presets and it loads fine each time after that. I've tried the send feature and the sub will just go back to whatever it was at before. But doing it with export seems to ...

Re: New Arturia Step Sequencer for Sub Phatty!?

So how are you specifically hooking it up with the SP? Cv? Or just running the SP into the sequencer? And can it be controlled be a clock, and potentially control the LFO on the SP via midi? For me a sequencer is useless unless it can take a clock source with specific bpm's. So far I've only connec...

A lot of eurorack's have 1/8th, but it's just a preference thing at that point.

I wonder if it could use a card, like the music easel?

Re: Moog Werkstatt

I think this is just for moogfest. If they did a production run I'm sure they would use 1/8 cables for the patching.

This kind of thing is something is love to see moog try. Well, this and a prodigy again.

Re: New Arturia Step Sequencer for Sub Phatty!?

I would also check out the EHX 8-step. It doesn't have the pad functions but sliders which may be a little more intuitive. And it's all CV.

Re: Sub Phatty - Arpeggiator in Update?

I srsly hope Moog are thinking of at least some sort of update to the Sub when the 37 gets put out. An arp would be great , or the step seq in the editor. Maybe we can make raps or seq in editor and save and just have an on/off key command on Sub. I need something to spice things up, I find the Sub...

I'm actually looking at getting the 8-step myself. Do you send a midi clock to it? Is it pretty stable as far as keeping the tempo? I've had mediocre results sending midi to my Sub's LFO. Jumps and skips around quite a bit.

Re: SubPhatty's envelopes length

The env's do work a bit different on the Sub than on other synths I've tried. But yea, they can get to 10 seconds.

I found the extremely useful for learning what it can do and exploring. Some of them I've incorporated into my own presets with minor tweeks. Do it!

Yea I don't see any reason why you can't do that. I sort of do it for the filter poles. 3 presets of the same sound just different poles.
Should be doable just fine.

Re: Sub Phatty - My user experience

I wouldn't go as far to say that they have poor quality control. A forum like this is THE main place for people to come with their problems. No matter what piece of gear it is, there will be issues and problems arising. I'd be more skeptical if this place had nothig but raving reviews and no issues ...
