Re: Slim Phatty LFO

Yes, kind of. If you press and hold the Amount button, it will flash and while flashing, the mod knob acts as a mod wheel. The rub is that if you touch the MIDI mod wheel it takes priority over it and, as you switch presets, the "MOD amount" kicks in to where you had it last. A re-boot of ...

Re: connecting to DAWs. Preamps? DI's?

I have a rather modest setup with only a two channel I/O box - an Apogee Duet I (the older firewire one). The Duet has built in pres with 75dB of gain and I have to say I am seriously impressed with that box. Apparently, the duet does not have the same pres and A/Ds that their more expensive boxes h...

Re: Amos: LP/Slim Firmware Suggestions

What about a polychain mode for paraphony? One difficulty is: when releasing the last key, the Phattys #n’s oscillators should continue sounding just like the Phatty #1’s. Or it would be up to the user to set the release times at max on the Phatty #n… or not. You can do this right now with existing...

Re: Duo-paraphonic: 1st step towards polyphony?

Just some random musings on the topic, Designing firmware for polyphony is somewhat trivial - it's been in commercial synths since the 70's. As to getting a software update to increase the paraphony of the Sub 37? I wouldn't hold your breath! I looked at the article on the Waldorf pulse 2 and it's a...

Re: Weird LP behavior

Yes, I've definitely heard the auto tune thing happen during rehearsal as well. If/when the issue pops up again I'll try disabling auto tune and see if it fixes it.

As it is now, I am strongly suspecting it has something to do with something or other it's receiving over MIDI.

Re: Weird LP behavior

Quick update - I'm thinking that this might be a MIDI volume issue perhaps or something like that - possibly internal or external. I had this issue pop up last night during rehearsal and it got so bad that the SP would only sound while the volume knob was moving. I re-booted the SP twice and it didn...

Re: Weird LP behavior

I'm having a similar problem with my Slim Phatty. What happens is that after a while, the output seems to get muted and simply touching the output knob brings it back to life. Sometimes for a while, other times for just a few seconds. Very inconsistent but would be very bad during a gig. Anyone else...

Re: Edit Recall on SP/LP?

Thanks for the ideas guys. I will copy my original post to the suggestions thread in case Amos doesn't check the forum regularly. I think what I'll do as a stop-gap solution is to dedicate one patch slot as a "Temporary" slot where I can store an edit and then look around for where to put ...

Edit Recall on SP/LP?

Hi All, First post on this board as I just bought myself a Slim Phatty and love it!! I was very into synths in the late 80's and this is my first new (to me) synth in over 20 years. One thing I've searched for in the manual and online and haven't come across is some way to "recall" an edit...
