Re: Really Disappointed with Moog Quality Assurance
I'm sorry to say that I have had multiple issues with both the quality and reliability of the products and with a lack of support from Moog. I too was very excited to own a Moog, and I ordered the Sub 37 as soon as it was announced. They keybed was sub-par (improved now in the subsequent 37), and th...

Re: Any quircks or regrets on getting a Subsequent 37?
I am a former owner of a Sub 37. I really didn't like the keybed, and between that and having issues when having send it in for the filter pot repair, I sold it. When the Subsequent came out (non-CV), I ordered it right away. I am quite happy with it. The keybed is now quite usable. Not sure it is F...

When updating firmware, I believe the global settings return to defaults. it may be that a global setting related to MIDI is no longer set correctly.

Re: Sub37 - Have you had this much trouble with other synths
My filter knob also failed after almost 2 years of working properly. My serial is below 200, so it seems it was before the metal potentiometer revision. I'm having trouble getting through to tech support to get an RMA, but hopefully soon this will be on its way to being fixed (I purchased the extend...

Re: Mean Sub37 kills Cubase Timing
I don't know if it's related, but I had an issue where I could not get the Sub 37 to sync properly to the clock in Logic Pro. I only had the problem when my sequences had swing. If swing was at the default setting (50% I think), the sync worked perfectly, but with a swung sequence I could never get ...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
Does anyone know what springs I could order as possible replacements? I'd really like my Sub 37 to have a light touch closer to my Nord Lead, but to at least reduce the tension on the black keys so they better match the white keys would be a good first step. Has anyone had any luck with modification...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?
Thanks! I saw that, but at first glance it looked like it was for use with a computer. But it seems you are saying it can be used without a computer as well, which might make it just the thing. I will take a closer look.As I mentioned above I use a MOTU MIDI Express XT.

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?
Looked like a great solution, but it seems that the MIDI Solutions products cannot be powered by the MIDI output of the Sub 37 (according to Sweetwater). Does anyone have a suggestion of another MIDI splitter that will work (one with integrated power options such as DC adapter or battery?) I know MI...

Re: Write and save tempo
I am able to set the tempo and save it with the patch by setting the tempo with the Sub 37's knob. I think the bug had to do with tempos you tap in, and perhaps also there is a problem with tempos from MIDI. For me it works, though the tempo knob isn't as precise as entering it digitally. I adjust t...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?
Thanks Dan, that's good to know. I'm also chaining synchronized devices, and I wondered if the sync could be better. Would you happen to know if those thru boxes are able to be powered by the Sub 37 if it is used as the input...or if they will need the external power supply? (I noticed the Little Ph...

Re: Which stereo effects unit?
I had a Strymon BigSky and it is very nice but I found I had to be careful not to overload the input. Most of the effects pedals are designed more for guitar than synth, and even though some say they have lots of headroom, the Sub 37 puts out a very strong signal. I ended up going for rack effects w...

Re: Sub 37 midi setup master or slave
I use mine as master, unless I'm recording, and then the computer is master.
You can do it either way. You might find it harder to dial in precise tempos on the Sub 37 as opposed to some other device.

I do have a little bit of a click sound when adjusting the Multidrive. I will investigate more and contact Moog as it seems this is not happening to everyone.

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
Does anyone have instructions for removing the keyboard from the Sub 37?
I'm just about ready to open it up and try to find replacement springs myself. If I do find springs that work well, I will post here and let everyone know.

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
I too am disappointed with the keyboard. I ended up getting a Nord Lead A! for my fast and smooth lead playing...that keyboard has a very easy action, and it shows me how much better and more useful the Sub 37 could be. Pressing keys on my Sub 37 takes significantly more pressure (measuring by gentl...
